good luck!

I drove yesterday for 8 hours with a lifepo4 battery, shedding 12kg (the stock battery is such a lump) plus a cheap little bluetooth battery monitor, and the bms lead disconnected from the negative post.

without wanting to jinx it, very happy with this mod from data so far. Will write it up. The battery was 200 euros.
do tell. pls start a separate thread as this is major weight savings

Litchfield have said they’ve never had issues with the Alpine tune
I'm deeply sceptical of this. I'm wary of saying exactly who on an open forum but I know for a fact that someone had this exact message on Litchfield's original red car.

What year is your car and what torque did Litchfield map it to?

I don't think anyone has yet mentioned that the post-'21 cars can't take much beyond about 340nm before giving this message.
Meaning a post 21 car is more fragile or gives a quicker warning? By the way; is your own Alpine remapped?

Quicker warning, and will repeatedly throw engine failure messages if mapped beyond about 340nm. The earlier cars can take 380nm no problem. It’s a software thing they’ve put in rather than any hardware changes.

Mine is mapped, it has a 310PS/340nm Life110 map on it. 15k miles since the map and after a couple of engine lights with the higher torque figure, it’s been good as good since then.

As it happens, I prefer the car with a slightly lower torque figure, but I think that’s just a personal thing.

Okay so, 500 miles in the last week and no issues.

Of course, it may still happen but I’m more confident it was the low battery causing the issue.

My fuel pump was replaced less than 6 months ago under warranty.

The fact the error didn’t occur during fast driving makes me think it wasn’t the map. Last time it happened was 150 miles from the original error.
If it happens again I’ll take it back and remove the map but for now (Hopefully) I found the issue.
