I have started organizing the second year service for my A110 and I asked the dealer where I bought the car from (Alpine Antwerpen, Belgium) if the fuel pump recall is happening in Belgium and is my car (manufactured in March 2022) subject to the recall. The answer was that my car is indeed a subject of the fuel pump recall. I hadn't been contacted by Alpine but it seems like the recall is happening also in Belgium.

A question to those of you who have already had the fuel pump replaced via the recall: How long did it take to do the recall related work? Was it done within one day? Do you think that Alpine service should be able to do both a regular service and recall related work in one day?

I was advised an hour and a bit to replace the fuel pump (which was accurate) or about 2.5 hours to combine with an annual service.

Same, a couple of hours. Well, thats how long I was enjoying the dealer's free coffee and breakfast while I was working in a quiet area. No idea how long the actual work took.

Done today. 2.5 hours with turbo oil pipe recall done as well.

My life110/TRS remap was wiped as part of the fuel pump install with a fresh factory map being slotted in. This seems normal practice but only applicable to some cars… I fessed up to see if this could be avoided but no…

Back to TRS I go…

And remember that apparently the fuel tank level should be low when you take it in to have the FP done!

Just a reminder, since it seems that Alpine don't make that clear in advance...

It took me 1,5 hours. And I arrived with an almost full tank. Car smelt after petrol afterwards. So indeed better start with an half full tank.

Mine had a fairly full tank when it was done -no one mentioned it being a problem. The service light came on shortly afterwards, which can happen apparently. It has been reset, but will not now trigger a year after the last service. One of the torx screws in the frunk hadn't been tightened fully -or had been cross-threaded, so it didn't pull down onto the washer. I took it out and refitted it. The others are torqued down hard -I imagine a power wrench was used.

Thanks for the replies in relation to how much time the fuel pump recall related work takes. It seems like service + recall work should be doable in one day.

FWIW Alpine Manchester checked my PE (#1252) and said it was not part of the recall. I have had the engine die on me once at a junction after some B road driving but it did fire back up after some cranking so fingers crossed it survived!

My PE is part of the recall but I’ve still not been given a date to send it in despite being in weekly contact with
Alpine.

My recall was advised via the MyAlpine app today, also a PE which I was under the impression weren’t affected

Many thanks - just logged on and the recall is finally live on my car. I’ll contact the dealer.

The app flags up a recall notice on my PE, it isn’t clear if you have to contact them or they contact you.

Anyone any experience of the process?

I had an email asking me to arrange time with a dealer quoting a certain reference.

My app says Prendre rendez-vous and quotes OE6D Campaign - translates as book it in

I phoned the dealer and with the reg no the recall popped up on his screen

Previous posts prompted me the check the App and the recall notice for my PE was there. As it happens the car is already in for wheel arch paint rectification, so that should save me a separate visit to the dealer. Took a long time - but a result at last.

I'm currently at a Bedford Auto drome track day with my P.E. at the end of the first session my car went into limp mode, display read check injectors. The car will no longer accelerate smoothly but once above about 3.5K rpm appears to cut out and jerks refusing to accelerate.
The identical same problem I had on an evening track day last year when the ambient temperature was in the +30C, today is not into double figures.
I fitted the cooling fans from mprezeau but they obviously make little to no difference.
Not looking forward to the afternoon session.

Sounds indeed like the fuel pump - the good news is the latest FP used since November 2022 appears to be now reliable. You're eligible for a replacement. The bad news is you'll lose the TRS map with the s/w flash. But you might be able to retain the K-tec transmission map though?
