Already 10 days here and no sign of an update. They suggested chasing Renault UK customer services. I'm away this week for work but will be chasing next week when I'm back.

I hope you get an answer but it's really not good that you're having to ask this on a forum, the dealer gave you no timescale at all?

Mine certainly didn't, because the system just shows "back ordered", hence the suggestion to chase Renault UK. I haven't yet tried asking my Alpine owning mate in France whether his dealers have one on the shelf (which was what I resorted to last time I needed rear brake pads and no-one in the UK could help - had some posted to me within the week)

Im thinking its about time to start chasing Renault Uk or Alpine Uk ?
Im quite sure Arnold Clark Glasgow Alpine wont be.

Sorry to hear about your woes. This is P-Poor by Alpine. Whilst suppliers keep less stock these days, they should have a spare for what must be a common part, or confirm a delivery period? Back in 2004, a work colleagues' new Merc SL on it's first day had an oil pump issue, Mercedes flew over a new pump that night for next day installation, shows what can be done.

Reminds me about getting Lotus (2 weeks from Toyota) or Landrover (6 months) parts. If you can't get confirmation quickly from the dealer, just how big is the issue? Fingers crossed it's a glitch in their system, parts are already on their way.

Your Dealer should be chasing hard & giving you updates every other day. If Alpine, a small outfit are to succeed, this is an area where they must be better than the larger manufacturers.

Not sure which thread to update, but apparently my pump arrived Friday and the car is ready to collect. Just need to get some miles on it now and get confidence back in it.

Funny you should say that , I got a call today saying pump would arrive tomorrow and should be ready Wednesday evening.
