Tbh. I would only get a GT if your physique doesnt allow bucket seats. If you dont want S-suspension get a pure and chip the extra 50hp (if you really need them, the base is already quite fast…). The buckets are just too good to miss out on. Additionally you get the matte carbon that doesn’t add glare in the windscreen.

Hi,

Agree with all of that the seats in the base car are superb.

I have to admit, the upgraded seats seemed quite appealing; I've always liked heated seats in the winter!

But I've yet to try any seats so I'll have to reserve judgement until I've sat in them.

After spending a fortune upgrading a MK6 Fiesta ST about 15 years ago I prefer to keep my cars stock these days! So I suspect I'll stay away from any remaps or suspension swaps - I'll have to decide between the two models as they are.

The extra horsepower does appeal for trackdays, but I suspect for normal use, the base car would do the job nicely.

I have the comfort seats in my 2020 legende , as there is a one foot height difference between me and my wife, and we both drive the alpine a lot. So for me it was much less hassle having the comfort seats as they get moved up and down a lot.

They aren’t especially comfortable in my view- they are OK, but not great. Any more than 2 hours it feels like my back is kind of curving in an unnatural position ( I have no back or posture problems at all I should say). It might be just me , my height or body shape , but if you can get away with the buckets practicality wise I would get them.

You don’t have to change any suspension components to get the Life110 Geometry applied, which is well worth doing.

“Sports Road” are the settings for the standard cars (be that A110 or A110S):

Oh that's good to hear, most cars aren't that adjustable from the factory!

I have a 2022 GT with the the Life Geo settings and paddles. Think whichever you go for you would enjoy . I went for GT because when I bought, by the time I added all the extras on base was only circa 4 k from GT and residuals are better. Loved the brown interior which made it feel bit more upmarket . Did try S great car but felt GT more for needs, not a track guy but enjoy keen driving on country roads but want the comfort getting there on motorways . Also join a group of owners who know that they could have bought Porsche or M2 but wanted a car that had character and pure joy in every journey.

Your approach sounds very similar to mine. Priced up a base model and by the time I added everything I wanted I was only a few k off a GT and I really liked the extra power and shove from the GT's engine. Also saves the hassle of getting it remapped and all the downsides that come with that.

Mine is still on order and I should be receiving it next month. Would love to know your thoughts on the Life110 geo as I think you're the first person I've come across with that setup on a GT. I'm considering it, as well as the paddles and a couple of other bits like the titanium end links and the quick release fasteners.
