Please could someone in the area suggest a couple of hotel/ B&B options for the Saturday night? Thanks very much.

Hi James,

A few people I know have used Nunsmere Hall when attending events at Oulton Park (a few minutes drive up the road)

https://nunsmere.co.uk/

Not sure on your budget though.

My go to for stopover is a Premier Travel Inn! There is one in northwest Crewe that I will probably stay at on Friday and Saturday night.

Tim - also registered thanks, if there is any interest I would also be happy to arrange a "Dawn Raid" around N Wales on the Sunday morning for those that are making a w/e of it smile Last time I tried this there were only two interested so I agreed to re-arrange... looks like this could be a good w/e to do so.

Thanks for sorting the Saturday.

Cheers, Simon

I’m interested! Could it involve a hearty breakfast?!

Yup I think so, I'll ping out a suggested route and breakfast stop.

Thanks Simon,

Thats a great idea. I actually think we might need a few events/things to do on the Sunday as there could be a decent number of owners staying over so a 'dawn raid' might be tricky if we have say 30-40 cars.

Lets see as the weeks progress who wants things to do on the Sunday and we can take it from there.

I’ve registered and paid for a plus 1, but not sure if Mrs Wb will be able to come with me. Regardless, it would be good to stay where others are staying, but preferably at the cheaper end of the options. How many have already booked accommodation and where? I’d prefer some degree of security in parking options - but not at all sure what’s what on that front?

A spirited convoy of 30-40 would indeed be tricky !! 10-15 is 'just' about doable with an understanding from everyone on being sensible in convoy, if this gets that popular suggest a first come fist serve basis. I will prepare a GPX file of the route so not reliant on lead car etc.

I've also just done the "display my vehicle" thing with MSV, easy process, second time I've done it as I'm also displaying my Alpine at the Fanatec GT3 race at Brands in a few weeks time.
Does anyone know what time they expect display vehicles to be in the circuit? I think it can be early as they want them parked up before most of the public arrive, guess I'll find out with Brands when they issue the display ticket nearer the date.
Really looking forward to going to Oulton again, spectated there in the 1980s while on a family holiday and did a TVR trackday in the early 1990s, a great track to drive but a bit far to go from Essex!
So I'll certainly be staying over, maybe Friday and Saturday so up for a Sunday morning drive/event, as has been said a 40 car convoy doesn't work but small groups following a route with a couple of stops should?

Hi there,

There is not usually a set time for display vehicles to arrive. At Oulton Park the infield is essentially the car park so I think the best we can hope for is a dedicated parking area where we can all head for. I am still waiting for a reply from the circuit to explore the options we have.

I've registered my 73 plate GT (built this year). Looking forward to seeing all the cars and meeting some other Alpine drivers.

This sounds like fun! Would a Swedish A110 be welcome? You UK folks can marvel at the steering wheel being on the wrong size and the (supposedly) slightly larger battery!
