I'm taking my 9 year old to Brands on the 15th for the BTCC, This will be the first time either of us will have been to either Brands or a BTCC meet. After reading the other threads I intend on taking a couple of changes of warm clothes and I have some ear defenders for him but I don't think i'll need them. He has a blue badge but i'm unsure which of the 2 car parks would be best to aim for the main one near Paddock hill or Southbank? bearing in mind we may need to go back to the car to change clothes etc. What sort of access does GA get you? Any tips on anything we should aim to see especially? Any tips would be appreciated.

We're not complete novices to the series, I usually keep up with it and he's nuts about anything to do with racing

The disabled parking on South bank is a great spot in general, as if the weather is rubbish you can still sit in the car and get a decent view of the racing. Beware if you're wandering around the circuit - it's pretty hilly (ok if you're in a wheelchair!) but an attendant will get a good workout if not a powered chair smile

That's brilliant thanks, luckily he doesn't need a wheelchair but if it rains and he gets wet clothes get removed regardless of where he is so being able to watch some action from the car is a huge bonus

Well what a day, My son loved it so we might make this a regular thing. Sadly the weather was a bit crap but we managed to watch the races from the car, I made the mistake of parking at the bottom of southbank but I won't make that mistake again.

Ok great, was contemplating popping over there for the day but the forecast looked miserable. Yes there's always that trade off, being at the front=closer but higher up=better view
