Thats why if you are loading up the base with options you may as well buy the FE it will be relatively cheaper.

Black and white could well be new colours on the base car but noone knows which other options will be available. If you want a base model it will obviously be better keeping it basic thats what it is all about at the price.
The base cars will have a few new colour options:
- White
- Cosmic Black
- Vivid Red
- Nardo grey equivalent
- Dark metallic blue
- Light metallic blue
- Another blue potentially.

Seneca blue will most likely be removed once base options are available.
Vivid Red is an amazing colour, very similar to Ferrari Rosso Red.

Hi Gibbo when do you think the Seneca blue will be removed from the FE spec? I was thinking of optioning that on my v6 or i4 FE for March 23 delivery.

Jeez, I was struggling enough with the existing colours, any idea when these will be on the configurator?

I want base spec i4. Very interested in vivid red. My intention is to have the silver wheels pained gold for £100 a wheel locally.

I think Seneca Blue is a FE only colour, so I suspect the colour will only be available on FE cars and how long they will be available for is an unknown.

These colours will be on the base configurator which will go live end of this year or early next year, this is when you will be able to configure a base AMG or V6.

I've gone with the following:

i4 FE
Shadow Grey
Black alcantara interior with red stitching
Black alcantara steering wheel with red indicator (match the start button)
Sports suspension - coming from several M cars so should find this OK.
Goodyear tyres
Diamond cut alloys
Privacy delete (not much rear glass anyway and what there is has thick black borders)
Lower and upper black packs
Silver brake callipers (show the wheels off best and hopefully not look dirty)

Build November for December collection/delivery. Deposit placed 7th July.

Thoughts? Will be my first Lotus too.

Good spec and almost identical to mine (FE) but for the colour and I would definitely go red brake calipers to match with the red interior combo. The grey can look a touch dull imo so would benefit from injection of red without going ott.

Coincidentally my first deposit was similar to yours July 11th and also got a December/Jan estimated delivery put back from original est of September 2022 so deferred a couple of months for March 23 plate delivery.

I may still do the same thing. Who wants to buy a sports car in winter! Not a fan of the red callipers. A little too in yer face for me. wink

The embargo on reviews is lifted in less than 24hrs.

Harry's Garage will be the first one I watch...

Wonder what it will show on the scales? I'm going for 1510kg

I'd guess you won't be far off with that. Unlikely under 1,500kg anyway.

Carfection for me, and hopefully Henry Catchpole.

What do we think the verdict will be? Unanimous praise? High praise, but no Porsche substitute? Or miss the mark entirely?

Main question will be whether the Emira with its undeniably great 458 looks will flatter to deceive especially at the price. Somehow I doubt it.

Catchpole Harris and Harry will be the ones to watch no question.

It'll be muted. Everyone will want to say it's brilliant, but apart from looking fab, it's really just like the the Evora of old. Great chassis and steering, but just a bit underwhelming with a nicer interior and some pretend tech toys.

What would you require it to be in order to avoid such faint praise?

I think the praise will be gushing.

Harry can have anything he likes but he's bought an Emira...
