Hi,
I’ve been looking on this forum for some good ownership views while I consider what to buy next.

Emira is in the list, but comments on here are around poor quality and dealer service ( or online sales )

Do who has one and would recommend ?

Alternative is a used Vantage …

Come on , convince me

Love mine, from the inside to the out.

Gets an amazing reaction from enthusiasts and kids (big and small) alike.

its a joy to drive, especially when you're in the zone,,,

Apologies about the open driver door (its not a poor fit wink )

That red looks superb, and nice without the upper black pack

I’m very happy with mine. No issues at all so far.
Fabulous to drive, looks great. Very positive reactions everywhere.

Only downer was the poor communication from Lotus while waiting for it to arrive, but now it’s here that experience is fading into the past and I’m just enjoying the car.

Great to hear people are happy.

We’re you guys new to lotus, or have you had them before ?

Main issue for me is the 45 miles to a dealer for service/ issues .

Any idea if they collect ?

Thx Wayne

I’m new to Lotus, but 12 years with Ferrari.

And it’s in the overall experience where Lotus have a lot of catching up to do.
My Ferrari dealer, the club, and the general feeling of appreciation was fantastic, even though I only owned an old classic Ferrari and never bought new. They made me feel important and I had many amazing experiences thanks to them just because I owned a Ferrari.

In contrast Lotus are absolutely hopeless. As a buyer of a brand new expensive car I’ve felt no warmth whatsoever from the factory. It’s like I don’t even exist.
Maybe it’s different in the UK?

Luckily the car itself is superb and I don’t get too hung up on the other stuff, but I can understand why some people do.

Lotus really need to try harder to engage with their customers if they’re ever going to really compete with the big boys.

Love mine. Had no problems with it aside from the wiper recall.

Just done a 600 mile round trip to Wales in it, leaving the 675LT and 992 C4S convertible at home and was more than happy with my choice.
A surprising benefit of owning is just how much positive attention the car gets.

145 miles each way for me ….. a day-off for the recall work, but a drive on the A93 on the way home :-)

Saw a yellow one with black pack the other day, first time I’d seen one on the road and wow what road presence it had.

Why does it need to be someone specifically in Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire area to service your Mustang as per your thread about that?

Get a grip and man up.

Issue is not usual servicing but any smaller warranty issues means a day off work each time to get things sorted.

Also relying on people to drop off and pick up if it’s in for a while . All a bit of a faff I could do without.

That's the reality of life and I'd be reluctant to own a Lotus unless I lived near a decent dealership. As it happens, I do. IMO it's just not the sort of car you can comfortably put into the hands of your local all-makes garage for a bit of attention. It's either DIY or give the job to an expert.

Servicing isn't the issue though is it? It's those multiple things that reach take several visits to fix. The shine wears off rather quickly.

I remain hugely impressed by the Emira, rides beautifully, the interior is a lovely place to be and for me it’s one of the best looking cars you can buy.

I think the noise has been well judged, it’s perfectly acceptable on the motorway where I can hold a conversation with the Mrs, but on a spirited drive in Sport mode it sounds fabulous. My only comment would be it sounds far better outside than in, hence I’ll often drop the windows!

I get that the scarcity of dealers is an issue and Lotus’ customer experience is not what it should be, but that doesn’t take away that the Emira is a cracking car in my opinion.
