Do we not need to start a new column in piston head for Ferrari V6? wobble

Who would have thought this would happen!?!?

This is already on the list with the techies.

I didn’t see it as an improvement over the F8. Thought the steering wasn’t as quite as good as the F8 and just far too cramped inside to be comfortable (although I’m tall). Also a significant price increase over the F8. Can’t believe anybody feels that the F8 is too slow? 296 does sound better (wouldn’t be hard) but certainly not a great sounding car compared to the back catalogue. I do get the impression they are slightly struggling to fill their order books given the amount of invites and calls I’ve had to deposit.
fair enough, to me the 458/f8/488 are all absoutely quick enough and on country roads I wouldn't want to go faster as it's already scary quick - I appreciate that there will be better drivers than me out there who will benefit from the extra power of the 296 though and is a very common reason for the upgrade

I had one for the day. I have never owned a Ferrari so this would be my first one. Liked it a lot. Feels like it could be an everyday car. Going away in E-mode is quite a party trick in a Ferrari. I was quoted 2 years delivery time for the GTS and downpayment is DKK 325.000 (EUR 45k).

After thinking about it I would probably prefer a Ferrari V8 immediately rather than wait 2 years for a hybrid V6.

So buy a V8 and sell it when your V6 arrives?

I liked the 296 very much at the Millbrook sessions and being driven by the Ferrari driver on the handling circuit confirmed I'm a slow driver by comparison. Goodness!

I've been to Maranello to specify my GTS, Q1 24, extra sparkly silver with red/black daytona leather. Something like £330k incl £50k of options. It's enough... I specifically modelled mine on a silver/black/red Dino 246 GTS from 1974 which adorns my desktop PC wallpaper.

3. Still love my Roma and praying to every sky deity that might/might not exist that another series production V12 will be launched.
This!
A Roma with a 4.0 V12 up front and the rear seat space deleted with some batteries spread around somewhere for hybrid gubbins - perfecto! That would be take my money, hold my beer mamma mia! time. Oh and improve that awful Roma big screen thing.

Congrats! FYI, I had the opportunity to drive one again at Goodwood last weekend. Unfortunately the one I drove had the Assetto Fiorano pack on it. My advice:

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Stick with the normal edition. No bumpy road mode and uncomfortable in the extreme, even on the relatively non-potholed roads around Goodwood...

Agreed. I drove an AF one on the road and while it wasn't terrible, it was a bit too stiff. I drove a non AF one on track and honestly you don't (or I didn't) need anything more track focused.

Drove a 296GTS with and without AF on both track and road - I honestly couldn't tell the difference in handling, but you certainly notice the ride. I am opting to go without AF, with any luck they will do a VS of the 296 - which is where you can get your kicks if you want something hardcore.
