Anyone placed an Order for the Taycan yet?

Electric supplier want a small fortune to install three phase electric to my house
Need to charge two electric cars and single 100 amp not enough capacity. Also need three phase for faster charging
No way government will be able to stop selling petrol etc by 2032/5. Not many people are going to pay for three phase supply

You should be fine with 16 Amps at 230 Volts mate? Or inly short stays at home? 7 hours takes it to 80% at close to 11kw...Need to charge two electric cars and single 100 amp not enough capacity. Also need three phase for faster charging

Even using 2 x 32 amps overnight won't stress the 100amp house unless your pool needs to be kept at 30 degrees. And will charge at (between both) at 14kWh - or over 45 driving miles per hour (using my rough maths)MrOrange said:

That was my view but Andersen technical team refusing to install second charger as only 100 amp supply cc3 said:

Why would you need it? 7.2kw on an Andersen charger will charge it from empty in 11-12 hours overnight?Need to charge two electric cars and single 100 amp not enough capacity. Also need three phase for faster charging

is there any need to ask Andersen to provide 3.6W instead of 7.6 as OPC tells me that a 'slow trickle' charge is better in long term for battery life & something about always maintaining it at between 40-80% charge, & never ever running it to dry.Hello all. I'm new and I apologise in advance if this is not the right place or it's been raised elsewhere. Anyway I'm wondering if you could help. I'm currently in the process of ordering a Porsche Taycan via the company I work at in the form of salary sacrifice and all the quotes have come through by the 3rd party that are dealing with it and in the qoute they have stipulated that during the build of the vehicle, Porsche may add options the customer has not requested, something they call dependencies. And the cost of that is past onto the customer. If that is the case for my Porsche (spec'd as solid black, 20inch Taycan alloys and ambient lightning) would the additional dependencies be in the thousands of pounds and would you be able cancel without paying a cancellation fee? Has anybody experienced anything like this. Do I take the risk and order it knowing I could be paying more. Any advice would be much appreciated

The only forced option at the moment is the £767 Mobile Charger Connect which you can't deselect on the configurator. No other options will be forced onto your order (and if they were you can cancel). The lease company will be buying from a Porsche dealer, not Porsche directly.BATTERY QUESTION TAYCAN: As of now, Porsche has not come up with battery plans after 8 years. Panamera battery start failing after 6-10 years. Will this car be junk when battery fails. Remember this would be the same battery they use in Panamera.
LEASE OR BUY: if I buy Taycan gs for £96000 through my company. I will get £3500 allowance initially from government. Then I get 18% first year allowance. Long term, I will have to pay 40% tax on this money if I take from company savings which I will have to ultimately say many years down the road.
the maths work as: 96000-35000=92,500-18%(16,650)=75,850 ; -40%(30,340)===£45,510 is net cost to me.
if I lease, the cost in 4 years 57,600 or £115,200 over 8 years. ( I will get deductions of allowance which is 3.5k, 16,6k. Will also get 40% tax rebate. so investment over 8 years in tacan is £54,956.
if I buy taycan outright, I end up paying 45,510 net from my pocket. If I lease it for 4 +4 years, I end of paying 54,956£ at least. Remember we have to pay BIK in future. Write off is 18-25% per year. That means, after 4 years, we will not have to pay any BIK if we bought it outright.
any thoughts about above maths please including battery failure problem!

You’d be utterly mad to run a car like a Panny Hybrid without a Warranty....or a Taycan. So if the battery fails it is not your problem,
you mean extend the warranty after 8 years! but question will be will they offer warranty after 8 years!Gassing Station | Porsche EVs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
