What happens if you buy a set of Mission E wheels after the fact and just put them on with the standard brakes? Does this somehow alter the space time continuum or can you just rock on?
They will fit but not "approved", same as an aftermarket set.

There is a noise/refinement issue where the combination of Mission E wheels with the smaller steel brake setups does not meet internal standards.

The severity of it or whether you'd notice it is another question.

I’ve had my Cross Turismo 4s on order since January and still no closer to getting an estimated build/delivery date despite being told Aug/Sept when I ordered it. It doesn’t look like it’s going to be this year so I’m seriously considering cancelling as the IPace I’ve been renting in the meantime seems to be just as good for only 2/3rds the price.
I placed my CT 4S order in July last year. My Porsche app indicated “scheduled for production” on 16 April and is due to be being in production at the moment with delivery end of July or so.

I would check back with your OPC, seems the battery factory fire has pushed things back again

Cripes! I'd not heard about that latest setback.

Serious question, for those of us whose cars are now around the 6 to 12 month age. If you were hoping to get a new CT at 3 years, when do you need to order?

I'm already on the configurator, trying to perfect spec...

took delivery of a CT4 in October. Already placed an "order" for a Macan electric.

Question on wheels.

Our GTS is specced as black on black with black gts wheels.
Now I’m not a big fan of the ‘murdered out’ spec, so considering doing the wheels in bronze (a bit like the launch colour on the m3 touring for example….)

Spoke to,dealer, about it, but he was against it because gts extras are black, so this would ‘ruin’ things..

Any thought folks? Keep them black, or go bronze anyway.

Also looked at a wrap but concerned about hurting the paint and how crap it will looks in a year…. Plus places seem to want to charge around 4k!

Quite like the look of gold or bronze wheels with black. Guess you'd want the gold/bronze options inside too - for vents & cupholders etc.

Stuff what the dealer thinks…. Honestly it’s not like your adding pink stripes.. get whatever you want; Black on black will look poor… you definitely need the contrast and it’ll look great. Plenty other used buyers will think the same when you get rid……

Are you intending to go for the standard GTS wheels (in Matt Black) and then have them painted after you take delivery or going for the Taycan Exclusive or Mission-E wheels in Satin Aurum?

If the former I think that would work as someone that really wants the 'pure' GTS look can easily get them repainted. As above, you could incorporate the accent package in Neodyme on the inside?

Would have loved the internal accents, but it was a dealer order as a display car so spec was fixed. I went that route because I knew I needed the car this summer. Collecting in 3 weeks, so will try get the wheels done before we pick up..

Just get them painted after (or try and get the dealer to sort before collection).

Weiss Gold wheels look great and would look good on a black car.

Just been reading everyone’s comments on here regarding order times. I placed order for ct4s beginning of May. Was told 12-14 month lead time. Got a phone call from the dealership last week saying good news. They’ve managed to secure a build slot for September so all going well should have car by October. Really pleased that potentially will have car after only 6 months of placing order. Maybe I’ve just been lucky and got someone else’s cancelled build slot.

Which dealer?

I suspect it could well be a dealer without a big order book and you grabbed a cancellation.

Also, do you have ordering history with them?

It was with Stockport. Will be my first time in a Porsche.

Heard something useful this afternoon. Worth spending some time clearing the detritus from the front fans on a semi-regular basis. Apparently there is a regular flow of them seizing on two-year old cars due to clogging, which isn't covered by the warranty.
