Heard something useful this afternoon. Worth spending some time clearing the detritus from the front fans on a semi-regular basis. Apparently there is a regular flow of them seizing on two-year old cars due to clogging, which isn't covered by the warranty.
I’ve run 911’s for a while and front radiators, without the protection of mesh grilles, can be something of a consumable.

I have been a bit concerned about the openness of the grille aperture on the Taycan and will be investigating/excavating.

Are you forecasting cancellation increases? why? economic outlook?

I've just ordered a CT Turbo and the dealer is quoting 2 years with a 4S being a year away. Hopefully this will come forward.

Funny, my supplying dealer has just said the opposite (my business partner likes mine so much he’s going to order one). Likely get a turbo in 12 months but 18 months plus for a 4S…. Less for both if want a ST. Makes you wonder if they just make it all up- however, they were very accurate about my delivery timescales (probably luck!).

When I ordered earlier this year at the end of March it was 12 months lead time. This is on an ST Turbo. They have said recently that my order is still due March/ April 2023.

I suspect it's a bit of everything.

Dealers will have different sized customer lists for each model, and I'm not sure how their allocations get sorted - whether they dropped speculative requests to Porsche Ages ago and fill accordingly, or if it's pot luck on what Porsche AG actually give them.

My AD was expecting ~2/mth GTS ST before all the war stuff kicked off. They have 1 for the rest of the year. They reckon the situation is no different for other models for them.

Looks good - Is that a Sport Turismo GTS?

What’s the spec and which dealer did this come from?

Yes SportTurismo gts, from Reading (was their dealer display car).

Pan roof, sport chrono, black on black on black, 5 seater, bike rack. Bose, screens, hud and a pile of other stuff, about 25k in options all in I think. No ceramics, but brakes seem more than adequate.

Driving it side by side with my Bentley CGT and frankly even though that has 700bhp this feels just as rapid. It’s particularly good fun around roundabouts….

They reckon that the physical brakes are only used for 10% of braking in normal use, so unless you are planning a large amount of track use, then I think the standard brakes will be more than adequate and anything else will be overkill.

Does it have rear wheel, steer - that seems to be a good option to include? Given the amount of options, then I’m sure this was included!

Rear steer is a great option, except on a Taycan because it forces you to have PSP+. I know, I know, most people wouldn't notice the difference. But every time I drive our Taycan I love how the steering feels. PSP+ is evil I tell you...

On another note, that GTS looks awesome!

You can just get the OPC to turn off PSP+

OPC can’t/won’t do it. It seems if you order PSP+ it can usually be turned off.

If it comes as part of rear sear then it’s considered part of the car can’t be turned off.

It’s a truly odd decision.

Oh that's weird! I had it turned off on a 911 I bought, but it didn't have RWS.

I've just bought a Sport Turismo which is coming with PSP and RWS.

I’m truth, while it will corrupt the steering feel, it’s a Taycan not a GT3. I think perhaps the utility of having a smaller turning circle on a car this long will probably outweigh any perceived loss of feel.

It has never occurred to me once that I need better steering on my rws taycan but it surprises me almost every time the spots I can somehow squeeze it into. There's always a spot in the corner of the school car park that no one dare take no matter how chaotic it is which is basically my personal spot now. smile
