I'm a bit late to the topic, but I was just reading up on these and discovered they do a faux-SUV version:

Looks smart!
The 'Stepway' version. Dacia UK published some bumf about 60% of their sales being for the Stepway'd Sandero.

Consequences of the jacked-up-ness, the extra plastics, and the larger wheels were an increase in wind noise and fuel consumption, more expensive tyres, and more body roll. Punters couldn't get enough. Stepway Logan looks good though.

My worse half confiscated my lovely Logan DCi, so I ran a Sandero TCe90 for a few months. Both are great engines. Moroccan Sandero Ambience TCe90 was bit more noisy than the 'plush' Mioveni-built Lauréate Logan DCi.

The only regular complaint seems to be the windshield scuttle drains blocking up with leaves, so the passenger footwell fills with water.

The doors have rubber flap drains in the bottom, you can feel them if you run your hand under the door. If they're not kept clean, they won't drain, and water gets into the carpets. They just pull off, for future reference. :-)

Logan was more reliable than my E-Class Merc estate, Merc dealer was on the same industrial estate, so I used to park the Logan on their forecourt while I popped into the Dacia dealer. :-)

I'm not convinced they're allowed to do that?

They aren't, it is so the dealer gets the commission, just sign up and settle within 14 days, you should keep the deposit contribution however not so sure on the servicing.

If I just finance the minimum amount poss I'm happy to keep the payments going for 4 months. It'll cost me 30/40 quid in interest, I'll keep the benefits, and the sales bloke will make a bit of scratch too.

2 or 3 weeks in with the logan - and I like it. I like it a lot.

its never going to be the greatest drive, but the little turbo engine is willing and works hard, and its plenty fast enough.

the boot is also massive and quite frankly the car is unbelievably large with the rear seats down. For example, as a favour I took my mates kitchen to the tip, flatpacked, with worktops, and tiles, and I did it in 2 trips.

I like the satnav and whilst the sound system clearly isnt made by bose, it sounds just fine to me.

the ONE issue I have is that I think you have to over rev the engine to pull away in first - if you dont then you get, occassionally, some clutch judder. Sometimes its just a little bit and on other occassions it can be quite a bit.

no worries though, the renault/dacia dealer I got it from have said they'll take a look for me and send me a video afterwards to make sure the clutch is ok. So hopefully it'll either get a clean bill of health or they'll sort whatever is the problem.

A year in with the Logan MCV and for what I want it's for its utterly brilliant. But I never see any others, which is odd because the dealer I got it from said he can't sell the Logan MCV and the duster fast enough.

Glad you are loving it.

From our perspective as a Renault/Dacia dealer I would say sales of Logan vs the rest of the Dacia range would be:

  1. Duster
  2. Stepway
  3. Sandero
  4. Logan

Yeah same here, Logan is the lowest seller in the range. We’ve just had a run of pre-ref Logan Stepway Techroads which we’ve smashed out quite cheap. More than we’ve sold the rest of the time selling the Logan Stepway hehe

Is there anyone who has taken delivery yet of the new 1.0 TCe 100 bi-fuel? I put my order in for a Logan end Feb 2020, no firm delivery date yet...

Do you know where it is along the build chain?

Has your dealer given you an approx date, obviously things are a bit up in the air currently but if it was ordered prior to CV-19 and a build slot allocated prior to CV-19, there would be an approx date.

If the dealer cannot give you one or is being evasive then I would get on to customer services, they won't know, but they will contact the dealer themselves and see what is happening.

If there was no build slot allocated prior to lockdown then I'm afraid the likely hood of you getting it is pretty much nil as Sandero/Stepway/Logan ordering is now closed permanently due to a new version coming, however we don't know when they new version will be appearing.

It's a personal thing but I find the front seats unsupportive & not a place I like spending an extended amount of time in but everyone I've supplied them to seem to be more than happy with them.

Dealer told me today "the car now has a VIN and should be built soon - looking for August delivery". Are they stringing me along without actually being able to deliver the car?

Sounds about right, there's a few allocated to dealers which are due end July/beginning of August so they're spot on there.

We've got a Duster bi-fuel, only done a few miles in it so far but LPG/petrol feels the same.

I now have a firm delivery date of my Logan 1.0 TCe bi-fuel - 2 Sep.

Question: how would remapping or a tuning box work while running on LPG?

I've ask a major remapper - answer: no we don't do that engine - and a tuning box specialist who gave a vague answer - "we recommend running on petrol only, we're not sure about LPG".

Logan is no more in the UK, after the existing Logans and Logan Stepways are gone, there will be no more.

I got my new Logan bi-fuel yesterday. It's nice to fill up for less than £20 (just over 32 litres of LPG - the tank wasn't completely empty).

One interesting point: the on-board computer wasn't there (so no monitoring of fuel consumption, remaining range etc) even though it's specified as standard in the "Comfort" model and no mention of deletion anywhere on the bi-fuel version. Disappointing but I guess it's understandable with the bi-fuel option.

Apart from that: so far so good - 60-odd miles on the clock.
