Thanks for the posting PH, I didn't know. Work/holidays etc hadn't let the message get through. Very sad to to hear this.

It is a sad fact that it often takes the loss of a genuine member of the human race such as Russell to wake us up and to stimulate the latent humanity of so many of we 'normal' people. We must all strive to be 'More Russell' for not only the benefit of mankind, but for our own souls. We have lost a truly warm and loving man. I'm so sorry I never met him and had the privilege of shaking his hand, and that he has passed from our midst. Rest in peace Russell. My warmest sympathy to your family.

I missed this. I didn't know Russ but recognise his PH handle. A very sad story and exceptionally nicely done memorial by PH.

Bravo and RIP.

I never met drivin_me_nuts, but I remember his posts. One of those names/posters that you remember.

We buried my uncle on the same day who lost his battle with cancer, over 100 people turned up and those I spoke to had only good things to say from people he helped to those he volunteered with.

It seems two good people were buried on that day.

RIP Russ.

Is there such a thing as a picture anywhere on tinternet of Russell, a guy who kept me glued to his wonderful, sad, funny, heartbreaking words.

His use of words really was something special, and for some reason I'd love to see the guy who delivered them so well.

Only just seen this thread. What sad news, I didn't ever meet him, not sure if I've ever interacted with him online.

But his name was always one I'd seen on the forum and I'd read many of his posts, in which he seemed to be a great guy.

RIP Russ. Thoughts are with those here that knew him.

I would respectfully ask the moderators if it's possible to archive russ posts for future posterity.

His words and compassion have been a positive on so many on this forum.
And I hope his threads can be saved and re-read by many future PH's seeking advice comfort and positivity.

RIP russ and thank you for all your amazing contributions.
