drivin_me_nuts RIP & Funeral Details
Discussion
Spent a few hours reading back some of his posts, he was a funny bugger!
The recent story of his toilet adventures in hospital and his recent (now very hard hitting) posts on mortality show his true colours. What a great guy, sure he touched a lot of people IRL too.
Bet he never thought random people on a bloody Internet forum would be talking about him after he'd gone. The worlds a funny old place.
I hope his family are coping ok, anyone who knows them please pass on our regards.

I'm in the camp of not knowing him in 'real life' but followed his thread about Lily very closely.
Knowing they are reunited is comforting. He wrote so well and helped so many of the rest of us through our own struggles. A top guy and someone we should all aspire to being more alike.
Rest peacefully.

If those close to the family could find their preferred cause for donations I am sure the PH community would make the odd donation.
Thank you for asking, his wife has asked that rather than flowers; donations are made to BHF please
I never met Russell and, as a relative newcomer, I'm not sure I ever really spoke to him online much either. But I felt genuinely lost when I read of his passing. Sadly I already have a customer job booked on the 16th, but if there's something happening in the evening I'd like to pop down if a complete stranger would be welcome.
I read as while ago of his intention to scatter Lily's ashes up in the highlands; did he ever manage this?
