I’ve always been a huge, unashamed fan of the late great Henri.
I was lucky enough to be a spectator at Grizedale forest in 1985 as he charged his way through to victory on the RAC. I was 13 at the time and the impression left on me by those group B monsters has never left me. They simply took your breath away, the experience just didn’t seem real.
I was absolutely gutted on that dark day in May 86 when he passed. A similar feeling I felt when Ayrton died.
At the time, i had a little 1/10 radio control car, I bought a Delta S4 body and painted it in Martini livery as tribute to him. I still have it,
I’ve always looked for You Tube videos about Henri, and this one popped up on my feed today. It’s the best I’ve ever seen, an absolute gem. It’s about an hour long, but well and truly worth every minute for any group B fan.
