That's a pain in the rear end; that's a part of spectating on this event, sleeping in the car and waking up making breakfast on the stove.

Was a question about Myherin, I noted the response was plural, so assume that relates to all.

It's quite an entry list, I'm told tickets are sold out.

ACCESS ALL AREA PASSES - NOW SOLD OUT
Please note that the advance allocation of 'access all areas' spectator passes has now sold out. There will be a final allocation of 30 AAA passes available for sale to personal callers at Carmarthen Showground on Wednesday November 22, from 10am.

(Next comment) - The main issue is space in Wales, it is full
We have requested additional car park locations in other forests and will have to see if we get them
If we do the tickets will go back on sale

Obviously very popular.

Just received my spectators pack, unable to spectate on Thursday or Friday in Wales due to work commitments. Face value value sale for each days car parking.

PM if interested

Right: we’ve deleted all messages about ticket resales and will continue to do so. If you genuinely have tickets you no longer need, then please contact us direct.

do people really pay to spectate??

Good grief. The Forest is there or all to use OR there is a HUGE need for marshals on the event

Just one off the wall comment, ignoring the days when we were competing on the Lombard RAC proper and other home internationals in various Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts will just quote a friend's comment after spectating on Dukeries iirc when we might have entered a Lada Riva for the giggles.

Comment was "F**k me you were slow but were clearly totally on it and having an absolute ball."

People pay to park. Often the revenue goes to local organisations.

Some of the forest legal public access rights are suspended temporarily.

The organisers are obliged by their permit to manage spectators. If spectators park up on a public road and walk in, there's a real chance that forest access will be denied in the future.

Marshalling isn't for everyone, it requires a long-lead commitment that many people can't provide, and it often requires a long day in the forests, which many people cannot or don't want to manage.

I understand all that, and respect people's choices.

etc.

Stages have been canned on this event before so there is precedent.

it is also among many other reasons why the stages are often repeated, makes it easier to get as many people into stages.

In the times I have been to this event I have had no issue with marshals, as long as you use your common sense, you are fine, you get the odd course car having a pop, but that is just the way they always are. The guys on stages are always fine, friendly and helpful.

I do feel this year might be more of an issue the appetite for tickets has been great, a lot of stuff has sold out, so I hope nobody is a berk, it only takes one.

Remember the hype around the Trabant in 92 or 93? Plus look at the snowy years and how well the Estelles and Favorits did. The RAC always had the possibility of a giant slayer. That was part of the "charm".

I may have dreampt this bit up but did the Trabant drive from Germany?
