v-twin car?

Since most of the questions concerning bike engined cars is about the lack of torque, why hasn't anyone tried a v-twin engine instead of an inline four? Everything I have read says that v-twins have significantly more torque than the inline fours. Is there any reason this wouldn't work in a seven style vehicle?

actually the inline 4 produce more torque ltr for ltr but at higher revs hence the reason why twins are given capacity concesions for wsb ie 750cc 4 against 1000cc twin. Its up to personal taste really.

Stuart Taylor also had an article in Kit-Car a couple of months back talking about the SP1 engine and a couple of V4 options, I think a Honda VFR750 engine (or 2) would be good for a laugh. Still reckon you could get a Subaru flat 4 in though and that would give the same sound but just a little more bhp !!!

shame the V twin sounds like someone blowing a raspberry.

It's also rather slow. See 750 club RGB series race results.
