2/ Indicator side repeaters
Yes and you need to carefully check that they can be seen from the correct angles. Cars like 7esc are a problem as the rear arch blocks the view.mrmender said:

4/warning light for when side lights are on

5/ Rear headrests? Never fitted to a scirocco. However since the rear seats are useless , due to hood mechanism. I will remove the seats. Acceptable?
Yes remove the seats but also make sure you remove seatbelts. You will also have to make good any sharp edges exposed by removing the seatsmrmender said:
6/Rear fogs have warning light. However, will i need a relay gizmo, so as they can't be left on when lights are switched off and switched back on.
Seems to still be much confusion over this. Some say the testers have a directive not to test in accordance with the book until the book is updated. The book has been revised since and still contains the requirement.Car Builder solutions sell a module for this….a little expensive but possibly saves the hassle.

7/ immobiliser? Standard steering lock ok?
Steering lock is all you require. You can fit an immobiliser without needing a certificate but you will need one if you fit an alarm.mrmender said:
8/Seat belts original ones. with a ticket on them giving specs. Ok?
Original will be fine as long as they are in good condition.mrmender said:
9/ Engine emissions should be ok Past its MOT in January? (Has original engine)
You will need the original V5 showing the correct engine number. This will define the age of the engine so it can be tested to the correct limits.mrmender said:
10/ brakes as above?
Original is fine…I doubt the tester will be impressed if they still have rust and cobwebs on them but in principle he should still pass them.mrmender said:
11/Will I need to fit a roll over hoop?

Anything else I need to know?
Lots.I expect your rear fog is correctly marked. It is the only lamp that has to have the correct marking.
Most of your problems will be that the original car will not comply with the sharp edges requirements both inside and out.

Right Thanks for or your replies
Car is booked for IVA awaiting date.
Back to my other car! They (DVLA) are now circling like sharks
I have owned it since 2009, it was not registered as a convertible. i sent the log book off in 2010. to say it was a convertible. It just got sent back no questions asked, it is no registered as a convertible. However i have documentary evidence that it was converted in 1996.
What should i do?

Just resurrecting this thread a seems to be a few people on here who know their way around the IVA test.
I am in the process of rebuilding and modifying a 1991 Honda Beat from this :
To something along the lines of this i.e. windscreen and most of the frame removal :
My question is would this constitute a change to the monocoque and need an IVA test as the vehicle is now 'radically altered' ?
Thanks
