I personally find the bonnet bumps and random bits of engine sticking out of the bonnet a bit naff. Webber's out the side is acceptable. This narrowed down the field somewhat when I see Sevens about.
If it doesn't fit, it's obviously not the right thing for the job, but people still seem to jam them in.

Also, interiors can look acceptable or completely naff and tacky. Some people graft the original donor vehicles instrument pod into the dash, and it typically looks visually like they have done just that. They're a different type of car which need different approaches to make things work and fit in.

Personal tastes.

Very tall engine, won't fit under a 7 bonnet without mods, expensive as well.
Ahem: https://westfield-sportscars.co.uk/showroom-brochu...

Also, the OP is looking at buying a complete car, not building one.
Hence big bump in the bonnet
The S2000 car has an extra wide transmission tunnel too, as the Ford boxes wont fit in there. Its specific to the engine. You could fit it in a standard chassis, but you need steel tubes, an angle grinder and lots of time. Even now, I have about 10mm clearance on the box to chassis . Any more narrow and I would loose pedal box space.
I know. The point is , it's not "requiring mods" if there is a kit specifically for that drive train.

I've had a GBS Zero GT for a few weeks now, it was partially built by the factory and finished to a very high standard by the original owner, it has a 2.0 Zetec black top, AT throttle bodies, cams gas flowed and ported, St 170 buckets and ARP rod bolts. It goes like stink. I use it o the road mostly but intend to do a couple of track days after the summer.

I will add my own cosmetic touches over the winter,as I don't really like the shiny ally bonnet, I intend to get it wrapped in navy blue to match the rest of the car.
