So desperately wanted one of these as a kid!

Used to stop and chat with a guy building one locally, and I can remember my disappointment upon hearing it fire up and hearing "beetle-clatter" instead of some super car howl...

I guess there's the option of Subaru conversions now?

That sounds really terrifying! Other (older) options are Porsche flat 4 or 6 and I know of at least one that has been converted to run an Alfa flat 4.

Good luck to them asking £20k for a Nova, but it's not for me!

I was only thinking of a two litre N/A not a WRXSTI type thing!

A good conversion is to fit the Pie Valley new chassis with MGF running gear (or there's even a 3L Audi option). Nice new chassis and good running gear to give it a new lease of life!

ugly, cheapish sunroof...still running on VW paperwork, which is wrong.....i would say 5k!!
