Since rebuilding the Dutton, and replacing the manual fuel pump with an Electric one, the motor has begun to hunt at tick over, and infact refuses to tick over at anything less than 1500rpm. Question, do you think that the fuel pump is supplying too much fuel? The pump is a solid state model, not a red top competition job. The engine is a 2 litre pinto in standard tune, and has a standard Ford fitment down draught Webber.

Have you got a fuel pressure regulator? If you haven't get one then take it to someone who can set up your carb on a rolling road. If you're in the Yorkshire area I can highly recommend Dave Bogg, a veritable ninja with carburettors.
