Does anyone have any experience of the Tiger? There are quite a few about on www.findit.co.uk and they're in the right price bracket. IMO they look better proportioned than the Striker; which although not my primary concern is a consideration.

And what about the Dax Rush? I really need somewhere to compare all the variants side by side. Are there any dealers in the London area that would have a range? I think a copy of Kit Car on my way home is called for.

Although I've just spotted this which looks interesting

Try Hallmark Cars. They're a London dealer that sells kit cars. See www.hallmark-cars.com

Willdew - I had a Tiger Cat. With your budget you could take a look at the Super Six. There are plenty out there and 6-7k would buy a really good one. A Zetec powered one would be your best option. The cars are really strong handle well and go like the clappers (as most seven type cars do !!!)

As mentioned in one of the posts, for that money steer clear of Robin Hoods. A Westie or Tiger would be the two I would take a very close look at. Go out and try a few of each car and see which you preffer. A Dax may be just outside your budget.

Edited to add, Peter Filby, the Which Kit publisher runs a used Kit car business. I believe they're in Reigate. Tel. 01737 225888

There's a Pinto powered Black and Silver Rush for just over £7k on the classifieds section of pistonheads... There's one the same in my garage too (in bits) which belongs to a friend and I can tell you they're easy to work on because there's so much space. Handle quite nicely and retain their value well.

Also, DJ Sportscars are in Harlow, they make the Rush and no doubt would be delighted to take you out for a spin. I've been in their Cobra - a mighty fine experience...

I do know where there is a 1.8 turbocharged and fully caged striker that might be for sale, e-mail me if you're interested.
