Kit car for road and track - purchase advice needed
Discussion
Hi Robin. I'm 5 foot 10 and 14 stone. the Striker's a little short on elbow room (though there are new doors which improve things) but it's fine otherwise. I need padding behind me to reach the pedals! (Need to sort out a proper seat). It's quite difficult if you have a substantial passenger as well, but fine when you're on you're own. Striker do a track chassis option, but no fat bottomed "SV" type
Thanks for those.
Have now tried several Tiger Super 6s, a Raw Striker and a Caterham. No problem fitting in any of them, although different seat arrangements meant that legroom varied. The only one with limited elbow room was the Caterham. Unfortunately I liked them all despite their very different personalities. Making a decision is proving difficult. Am still searching and will check out the Dax.

Good question Ross. I'm not sure. I was trying to keep things as simple as possible. I'm not aware of any reason why the Westfield should not be included on the same playing field.
It is interesting that despite lots of useful replies on this thread no car stands out as being the preferred choice. So far no model has emerged as being considered superior for overall quality, value, performance etc. It's a difficult choice.

Hi Robin
I've just put my MNR Vortx RT up for sale on Pistonheads
Built by Marc himself at MNR Oct 2004 - chassis no 0001 and has been featured in Kit Car Mag and has been on telly
Go to Bike engined cars section and you can read up all the info and see how good it looks
Its powered by a '97 Blade, is bright yellow with black front cycle wings, just been serviced and taxed till 2008 - never been in the wet and never been tracked - goes brilliantly and sounds awesome
