Question on the K1 attack Kit car
Discussion
Hi guys I have been really interested in this kit car for a very long time now but for some reason i dont see much of a hoo haa on it.
I mean whenever i check the net I find US or european sites with people building, showing off or selling K1 kits but not many in uk.
I was hoping to come across someone on here finally building one privately but have not yet come across anyone. I went to see Nandez K1 Attack a long while back and it just made me want to build one more.
Can someone tell me of their experience building one or know anyone building one privately?
I have been interested in this or the Murtaya but still not come across private builder who i could chat to
cheers

You won't find too much about it. The official line is that they are turnkey only and there seems to be no official UK importer for turnkeys.

I'm sure the lady on here who's building will be along at some point
There's the K2 Carrage Company (IIRC) who do turnkey UK cars, but for a fair old chunk of wonga.
Bit of a rough time trying to get them into the UK - you need to talk to K1 directly to sort it out, no idea of T&Cs and from what I have heard you shouldn't expect to get everything in the delivery either.
Another nod to the Mytura (or however it is spelt ) But the engine location and styling not that similar, I do think the power train on the K1 is generally not as good - unless you spend lots and do some fabrication of parts... not what I'd want with that much cash going on the kit in the first place.

was that dynamic motorsport (I think).... nothing has been heard from them at the moment as I was interested but nothing conclusive so.... no for the moment. There's the K2 Carrage Company (IIRC) who do turnkey UK cars, but for a fair old chunk of wonga.

Hi guys,
The young lady in question is called Emma.
She is building a K1 with help from her Dad and detailing the process in Complete Kit Car magazine, you may be able to contact her through the magazine. Alternatively if you would like to personally mail me at neil@adrenalinemotorsport.co.uk I can pass on your details to Emma as we have contact details for her.
She visited us to look at the K1 we were involved with building for a European client (as pictured by Black 5 above) and we caught up with her at Donny last weekend.
They are getting on well with converting the car from left hand drive to right hand drive (the factory delivered the wrong kit but would not change it for them!) and are about to embark upon the wiring loom.
Thanks for the really positive comments about the Murtaya, much appreciated!!
Completely agree about the looks of the K1, stunning.
General advice with any decision of this nature, make a short list, visit the factories, drive the demo cars, make an informed choice!
Neil.

I heard the DP and K1's relationship broke down and they aren't the distributors of the Attack anymore. Mr Bell has more info on this IIRC.
thats who told me about the situation...As far as K1 delivering the wrong kit (i.e. left hand drive) to Emma as Neil says, as far as I know K1 have never made a RHD version. Dynamic Performance had to develop one for the UK.
However, I get the impression that the bloke running K1 would happily tell you they do a RHD version just to get your money. Stunning looking car, but not a confidence inspiring operation.
If it was my money I'd build a Murtaya.

Not working for me - sorry!Something wrong with my link, tried deleting & redoing, looks fine but it is duplicating the "www.petrolheads.co.uk/gassing" part for some reason. If you click it then delete the duplicate part in the URL it works. Another glitch on the growing list on PH these days eh
