As a matter of interest, does anybody know of the yearly sales of kits and factory builds for these marques. How much of the market share does one have over the other and do these companies make a decent profit?

Yeah I saw that too, although I think it was a repeat. I guess Caterham are worried that relying on a 45 yr old design for much longer could be damaging to the future of the company, especially when you consider that Westfield have ventured away from the 7 look with the XTR2. Personally, I think Caterham's are a little overated and don't represent good value for money like their competition. Used prices hold their own though supported no doubt by the name and not necessarily the equipment. I have seen some very tatty Caterhams on the market at the same price as immaculate Westfields... which would you buy?

The car that you can buy and sell for very little loss. The immaculate Westfield will lose still more money.

The used market is not tolerant of bad cars Caterhams hold their value for a reason!

hi, what happened to the new model that caterham unveiled last year or year before? it was nothing like a 7, has it been mothballed or something? i only saw pics in kit mags and nothing since, it looked OK
