Can full roll cages be fitted to any 7-type car???

Im learning that entry to 7-type car ownership on a tight budget is actually feesible...but most of the cars i see advertised at "my" price dont have full cages.
In my first ever issue of Which Kit theres an article on cage construction but it gives zero info on its applications to various ommon models. Do i therefore assume that they can be fitted anywhere.
How heavy are these things and what price would i be looking at? If over £1000, how mmuch would a minimal FIA bar cost (as in Cat 7s)if i had to resort to that?
Im picturing this upgrade scenario especially in Westfields with their joke roll over bar. Are Westies able to take these mods?

IIRC Graeme Finlayson's roll cage on the Fluke WR1C was done by a company where you take the car in, pay (I think) £500 and they fit the roll cage for you and you drive home when it's done. (It's a bolt in)

Just to add to this - I had a full cage fitted to my Westfield several years ago (one of, if not the first Westfield to have a decent full cage fitted to it).
It was done as a one-off job by Safety Devices and they had the car for a week. Cost was around £1500, but this could have been a fair bit cheaper if I'd gone for normal CDS steel. Mine is made from T45 steel which is lighter, stronger and more expensive.
Other people who can design and fit cages are Procomp Motorsport (they've done cages for several cars racing in the 750MC Kitcar series), and their prices are very reasonable, and quality is very good.
