Hi yeah always enjoy karting, thing is I can never undestand why you think you're driving the nuts off the damn things, trying to be smooth and trying to be slippy-slidey, doesn't matter how you drive them there's ALWAYS someone 2 whole seconds a lap faster than you are .. how does that work then??????

Bloody annoying isn't it? I know why it happens to me...I'm a fat barsteward which gives me a significant power/weight disadvantage

What really hacks me off is when you are trying to race properly and some tw@t decided that the easiest way to get past is simply to ram you off the track. Marshals never seem to be looking when this happens to me...

They're quite heavy, and the 0-60 is very rapid with even a standard Pinto (quite scary really), but obviously no where near one of the posh 7 copies. £ for £ though, there probably the quickest 7 copy you'll ever find. Depends what you want, cheap fun or kudos, your call.

I used to have an S3. It was uncomfortable, noisy, wet when it rained, or if it was damp or if someone sneezed nearby. If you are over 5'5" it will be too small for you and if your feet are larger than size 8 you will not be able to rest your left foot anywhere. The chassis is crude, it is merely a twin rail, not the spaceframe the adverts reckoned, and mine rusted very badly. BUT, it was great fun.

The back end slid at the slightest provocation, with a fast rack it was so pointy that in town nothing could keep up and the noise was tremendous. Buy it and you wont be disappointed but it is no long term proposition. Sooner or later you will want something more sophisticated.

By the way, there's a Magenta for sale, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2437889519&category=29750 on ebay. At a Kit Car meeting I drove one, although not very far, and I liked it. I seem to remember one went on the London to Sydney Marathon and conked out around half way (Dover, I bet). The one I drove had a hard top with top hinged doors. The struts were lethal. If you dropped the door suddenly, they would take a chunk out of your skull. I must admit to liking the car. The body was much better made than the Dutton, but then so was every car I've ever seen.
