I would change the colour but then again I am not a blue fan. Your car was the 1st Murtaya I had been in. Goes like stink and has a superb spec. On the colour I would do something else. Just dont ask what as I am still deciding on mine.lol Probably black.

Its that time. a final decision on colour is required. Its going to be black.
I can always use a wrap and change colours later if need be.

Hey,

Quick question, which two Kit Car and the Complete Kit Car issue are we talking about? Also which forum (or are we talking about this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... )

Who still owns the rights to the Murtaya and who will continue the developement on it? Additionally there was some rumour of an updated interior, do we know if that is still going forwards?

Moogle,
There are loads of editions of both magazines with rave reviews about the Murtaya - I have not seen this latest edition so I have no idea about it but all other editions were nothing but ecstatic about it as is anyone who has actually drivien one!
Complete Kit Car built their own and rated it above all other kits for the previous year in Jan 2009

The dash inlay is part of the new interior but is still being made. The article in the kit car mag was more about Neil structuring the company in a way that protected its assets. I don't agree with the article. I believe if they were privy to more info there stance may be different. Unfortunately I cannot divulge all that has transpired as I was asked not to. Legal reasons I believe.

My car build was paid upfront and so where most of the other customers. The article makes it sound like we were supposed to loose our cars to creditors (No! my car was paid for and belonged to me.) or that Neil had contracted all work out so he could keep the money or make money. This is not the case as Neil is making nothing off of my build and don't think he is making anything off of anybody else's who has been "contracted out". I am out of pocket because of this fiasco. Neil is however trying to help me where he can.

I don't have the KCM article to hand at the moment but IIRC they are creditors (advertising) and are peeved because of what Neil refewrred to as "the unique way in which the company was structured" which meant that the moulds and jigs were not available to the creditors as assets that could be sold. I don't remember it referring to customers' cars.

I've got the separate magazine from CKC for the Murtaya, lovely to read.

Just curious about the latest stuff in both magazines, are we talking December and January issues or January and February? Or where the forum is (if it's not the one I linked).

So I'm guessing the facilities down in Cornwall are no longer? I guess Arden is closer to London.

Has anyone actually weighed their car? Especially the carbon fibre one? I'm wondering how close to the specified weights they actually are.

That makes you just another creditor i believe. Not trying to stir a hornets nest, i hope you have it sorted in which case you have nothing to worry about. If not, I have been through similar and wouldn't want to wish it on anyone, despite all the assurances at the time. My advise would be get what you can as quickly as possible. Receivers do not hang around and they will get there hands on anything that is legally an assett of the company unless it can be proven otherwise (and by that i mean physical papers fixed to objects stating ownership) and dispose of it quickly.

Hi all,
Just got back in tonight (11.45pm) from meetings up country and caught up with this thread for the first time in a couple of weeks.
I will write a full response to the above posts tomorrow as am having a fight with the eyelids right now and intend on heading to bed!
I saw his news editorial on Sunday. It is factually incorrect and is edited to imply things which are simply untrue. Nobody from his publication made any attempt to contact or speak with me regarding our situation or what he was intending to write and publish. I was expecting something of this nature from his magazine due to a personal issue that the owner has with me which stemmed from my questioning various aspects of his magazines production values. I will not go into this issue here as it is separate from this thread.
As mentioned when I originally posted relating to the financial problems that Adrenaline encountered there are many factors relating to second phase investment which I can not talk about for legal reasons that created this awful position. Our original investor was and is an absolute star, it was round two of equity investment that created the headaches.
No customer cars are at risk as they were all paid up and released perfectly correctly and legitimately to their owners.
Right, off to bed, I'll catch up with you P'Head crew again tomorrow.
Neil.
PS Nick (Gnits) thanks for your help in Reading today - very much appreciated. As for the little ride later on - that thing of yours is one hell of a rocket ship, you need to get a speedo that can keep up with the car!

Hi Gnits

How much of a transformation did the 6 speed make to your car? I have the v spec 5 speed with dccd and was wondering how much difference a 6 speed would make.

Neil,

Good to see your still around and fighting hard for the Murtaya. Although I havent driven or been a passenger in one I think its a fantastic car and just what this inducstry neede i.e. some fresh thinking.

I was gutted to hear about what happened, you're a great guy to talk to and i believe you have a great product, and wish you all the best for the future and hope you get this sorted as soon as possible.

On a lighter, slightly humourous note Hope i can still get one in 2015 as this is when i have been told I can build one by the Mrs.
