I haven't seen a B.R.A. P-type at any of the shows for years. Does anybody know how many were built and if there are any in regular use. When they were first featured in the mags (1980s) I thought they were the best looking of the 1930s style 2 seater replicas. They were an imitation MG P-type (or T-type for that matter) and used MGB mechanicals. I have been a Marlin man for 10 years but could be tempted to convert to B.R.A. if I could find one. The company make quality 3 wheeler kits these days but their website is a bit defensive about incoming e.mails on the subject of the old models, I've tried to make contact but have had no response. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Franklin, Lieicester.

Hi Franklin
I came aross your question about the BRA P Type and am pleased to let you know that I have just bought the rights to manufacture this car, together with the moulds and jigs etc.
I hope to have an MGB based demonstrator ready later this year and I'm also looking into the possibility of also offering the option of using more up to date running gear.
It also means that I can able to provide spares to any existing owners, bodywork or chassis sections should they be in he unfortunate position of needing some.
I hope to add details of the P Type and the J Type to my website, which is being re-worked at the moment, in he near future.

The guy that I bought my Lomax off has a BRA P type. He is based in Preston. Went on a run with him and a load of others last summer. I'll see if I can dig up some pics.

Thanks David for your reply. It is great news that the BRA P type is being resurected. I was told years ago that the tooling and rights had gone to Germany. I watched your purchase on E bay and was planning to keep an eye on the kit car mags for news in due course. I have just picked up your reply on return from hols. If you could contact me by e.mail I would be much obliged. fdwandmpw@talktalk.net Put "Kit Car news requested" as the subject as my wife sometimes deletes messages she doesn't recognise.
Thanks too to Slowmax, yes pics would be appreciated.

Hi !
BRA 'P' Type Roadster
I am compiling a register of these vehicles as some are still registered as their donor vehicle which may lead to problems at Mot time ? Would you be kind enough to pass this information on to the owners and let me have the chassis number etc. please ? I hope to approach DVLA with a 'class action'.
Regards
Jim
