Is it going to be electric? As in, where does the 'engine' go?
I was wondering that too but if you look carefully you can see what seems to be a hub motor in the rear wheel. I do wonder however where the batteries are going to go. I can't see much room for many unless they are going to be mounted in external side pods perhaps?
Superb craftsmanship!
I agree also that battery power seems very probable and twin sidepods could be the answer. I commend the effort and considerable diligence and the commitment and industry that has been lavished on this project to date! Very, very well constructed indeed. We must look out for the finished cars!!

Also, I should mention that the crude mock up brackets and over long bolts will be replaced with billet items and correct fittings.
I cannot claim credit for the chassis, it was a Van Diemen FVJ that had suffered a severe rear end impact. I bought it off eBay as a way of developing my skills with electric running gear as quickly as possible. Ultimate aim is to build my own chassis. Thanks for the positive support. All constructive comments and advice great fully received.

If you are interested you can see some of my earlier ideas starting on page 26, everything changed when I discovered the Enertrac hub motor and the Isle of Man electric race bike series.
The elegance and simplicity of the Enertrac concept really turned me on and I just had to try it.
Detractors have pointed out that I have not taken into account the unsprung weight issue but I have!
The benefits of no gearbox, clutch, driveshafts and propshaft will (I think) outweigh this.

feck-moi; while I appreciate the effort - that's huge heavy and hideous!
Well it's American.....Actually with a different body it's a bit more well, acceptable maybe?

But I don't really see the point to it other than in the land of the huge, heavy and hideous ;-)
And now for something completely different.....
