Had a radiator leak on the wedge, so work on Vixen stopped for now...
Got rad fixed at a proper shop, surprised to find out rad was 25% blocked (bloody radweld - was an emergency fix for water pump leaking whilst on hols....) so then flushed out whole system etc, etc, then decided whilst I'm there I really should do that little wiring fix, and the electric fan mount, and ....
those little jobs just never stop....

Feeling guilty now. I have barely turned a nut in two months. Been tied up with house stuff. However, having seen TomTs engine bay, I am now re inspired. Bought a compresseor off ebay , got a new touch up gun, ordered paint, which arrived today and hoping to get the engine completesd over the hols

Stripped another short engine today. I wanted to bolt the two v6s together to make a V12, but Dad wouldn't have it, .
Should have heads and flywheel sorted by new year, just got to clean them up, then they'll be machined etc and the engine should be able to be bolted in.
Engine, bellhousing and gearbox are now painted.
Probably not going to do much more till new year due to Christmas stuff.

Check the clearance to your rocker gear. Those rocker covers are a lot thicker than the orignal pressed steel item.
Cheers,

I would also watch for leaks due to pressure as the cap on the alloy version does not allow breathing of the top end like the cap that fits the original.[url]
