Emptied the the car of all the parts left over quite a lot of bits not used as be replaced most things with new that could not have been refurbished so there will be some bits that will hopefully help others keep there cars going once I get round to listing them all
The bigger items are the gear box and another set of T Slots with very good tyres
Firstly front bumpers measured up and off and up to have the brackets moved to get a better it
While I was up there I picked up some cable blocks and a motor bike brake cable to use to replace the old one that went on temporarily at the workshop looks a lot tidier and the blocks wont rust like the old one
Then took off the screws and washers on the wheel arches and fitted the trim and re did with stainless screws and washers
Then fitted the tailgate struts as they could not manage to get the tailgate release to work with them on not sure why all working properly now but still think the support strut might be a good idea as no telling if the steel in the frame is still ok and the right side is pushing out a little so strut that has some adjustment would make sense and somewhere to hang the washing on
Plus added my foam pads to the wheel arches to stop the bonnet marking the wheel arch when closed I fitted them on the 3000s and are great and easy to change when they get scruffy and handy spot to sit tools on when working on the car as they don't slide off

Stripped out the seats and the carpets today including the sound matting as I want to renew it all and also dyno mat the tunnel also took off the seat belt holders and drilled out the internal clips as the new belts wont go in as they are a different shap and re fitted with longer screws as the OE ones just went into the trim not the bulk head
All ready and painted ready for the new carpets

Had a few hours this morning and levelled off the foam and fitted the Fat Mat before taking the Vixen off for her MOT
Then changed the steering bulkhead bolts as they had reused the old ones and they looked horrid on the fresh paint and increased the size and larger washers and some sealant just in case all nice and solid now
Then made and fitted the bonnet cable to Rudys Design Thanks mate it the best solution I have seen
will get on with finishing the carpeting tomorrow as it finally arrived when it should have been here yesterday the lady driver arrived at 5.30 and said sorry I did not deliver yesterday but I was tired and went home could not believe it Tired I don't think she knows the meaning of the word

looking good,
it also will be a lot better with all that other material under the carpets me thinks.
I hope so I know he likes his music so reducing some of the noise from outside will help.it also will be a lot better with all that other material under the carpets me thinks.
little does he know that once driving a TVR the music is the car but will let him find that out when he drives her
I know some don't like anything under the mats as it gets wet soggy and smelly but hopefully I can eliminate most leaks it wont be stored out in the rain and I suspect she has turned out so well she will end up as a sunny day car rather than the everyday car we set out to create but will wait and see he has never even driven mine so will be interesting

Well a less stressful day today finally got the seats fitted right and runners working as they should and finished of some trim items and a first deep clean of all the old trim and really glad we decided to keep the original interior there are a few little bits that show its age but generally the interior is very good and with the new seats and carpets it seems to have worked as so much of the car is new I wanted to keep that element of age that is seen but does not distract from the overall finished car and thankfully its worked as it was my call as at the beginning of the project Phil said it all down to you to decide (thank Bro in other words if it goes tits up its my fault)
So here are todays updates I had put this week in the diary to get these jobs done as I do have a real job really I do honest
also fitted my by now trade mark string vests to the foot wells as they really are useful and a few badges including its final home country flag.
I really don't get the 4 screws and washers at the back of the sunroof on the headlining I would have thought they could have done something to cover them in some way but if that's the way they where that's the way they stay I suppose I could polish them

Well had a call from Ireland tonight and the Taimar is being used every day he is there as the Porsche is in having some work done and he is just loving the old girl and using her all the time he says the more he drives her the better the engine gets which is nice to hear his only complaint is the drivers sun visor keeps dropping so a little adjustment when I am over I think
Everywhere he goes he gets asked about the car I suppose its even rarer over there than here just great to see a car done and used make all the effort worthwhile and a good reminder to us all they are for using and abusing I hope that in 15 years time he says I think its time for a refresh rather than opening the garage and saying its still as good as when you did it.
But Glad to see the Family love of cleaning is still there.
