1965 tvr griffith for sale

Hi Colin
Wondered how long before someone else would notice it.
Lots of Beer tokens judging from the photos it looks very complete and nice to see a car that has not been raced would be nice to see it restored as such.
Very Genuine Guy selling her which is nice there is one offer on the cards possibly 2.

The bloke wants £29500 for it includes shipping(from the US) what should I offer??
Are you looking for a financial analysis or an emotional response? Is it looming large on your WANT list, as in, you've lusted after one or a long time, or are you considering it for an investment property? Either way, right now, Neil and Jelli are probably the best people to ask. I say this because of the fact that both are nearing completion of full, long term builds.
Are you thinking of doing the work yourself?
Best,
B.
This was up for sale with JD Classics in Essex I looked at the car there and although a nice car not mint however they did a deal with the dealer in either Holand or Belgium not sure which one where they swapped an E type Jag for the Griffeth as JD was short on E types and that being there Main Mark and over there they had recently sold a Griffeth and had more interested customers after that one had sold so made sense to swap.
Personely I wonder taking the car to FIA racing spec limits the customer base and if done as a OE Road car would have widened the market and reduced the cost of restoration and price.

The FIA spec car will be worth more as the Griffith offers a cheap way of competing in international motorsport events in a competitive car. That is cheap compared with a DB4/5, E-Type, etc. That is why so many are built to FIA spec.Andrew
There just aren't very many punters for a 50K+ classic TVR in road going form
Maybe not but i know of at least one?? and i know there are some out there however unlike the FIA speck cars they dont come on the market often those that have them seem to hang onto them or have them in there collections however the FIA cars do keep re appearing.
It would be nice to see one as road spec attending TVRCC EVENTS and general classic events being used as intended yes i know a lot where raced but others including this one has not.

I noticed that our TVR Griffith was mentioned. I follow the forums on Pistonheads, not often posting replies but now here is one... We took the Gunmetal Griffith indeed in exchange from JD Classics for an E-type we restored. The Griffith is such a fantastic car, and I like to have one in the collection any time. I have owned some TVR's privately before (Tuscan, Chimaera, Grantura), and still have a sweet spot for these cars.
By the end of the week, we get a LHD Taimar in as well. The Griffith is for sale at 90k GBP. If you require more pictures about this TVR, please feel free to send me a PM and I will email the photographs.
Koen.

Not so sure of the triangle hole arrangment in the diff area? Otherwise it has most of the difficult bits still intact.
Morning Zoomer, They all have the "triangular" access panel over the diff, it is 100% correct. I will photograph some in the "museum" later to reassure you.Andrew, thank you and Happy Christmas too you and yours!
Steve, all that I have been around are rectangular in shape. They must have been modifiyed at some point, or there was a change over at the factory?
I need to come around and visit the bunker angain on my next visit....would like to see the blue car in the flesh!
Cheers,
D.
