Taimar Door Lock
Discussion
There is a company in kent, whose name escapes me, who make a modern high security lock barrel which will fit to the existing handle. I have seen one on Oliver's (whose sirname escapes me!) old Taimar, and I seem to recall he said he got it through Adrian Venn.
Oliver is a RO for a Yorks region so if you can track him down he will be able to advise.
Failing that there is a guy who does all the big autojumbles (beaulieu this weekend) who sells 2nd hand ford spares, he has always got a big box of MkII Cortina handles with locks in them.

Oh dear you're not doing too well on the memory front these days. Oliver Edwards will be at Beaulieu this w/e. E-mail me through my profile if you have difficulty in contacting him.

The manufacturer of high security locks is Hykee Locks, who advertise in the classic car mags (contact details used to be 0843 862952, 100 High Street Broadstairs Kent CT10 1JB), the original lock is Cortina Mk1, the later lock is Cortina Mk2, the difference being in a small part loose in the original lock assembly and incorporated into the moulded part in the mk2 cortina. Most M series cars are the later design.
