Hey ! Anyone know what happened to the original '92 motorshow Griffith prototype ?
Any pics ?
This 'Mother' really would be a very significant piece of nostalgia as it turned the fortunes of TVR around overnight & secured the companies future !
Hi All
Just a quick point the Tasmin was designed by Oliver Winterbottom, not by Towns. If you are a TVR Car Club members go back through your old copys of Sprint there is a good article about Winterbottoms cars,by John Osborne. Five or six years ago at Le Mans I was talking to a Taimar owner, his Taimar had longer doors. I have not seen anything about this car in the press or Sprint, It was the front of the door which was longer it comtinued in to the front wing beyond the back of the bonnet.

Late to this forum, sorry, according to Aprils Classic Cars mag, a guy in Norway owns what is said to be one of two factory Vixens with a Daimler V8 engine.
Have not heard of it before, but page 36 shows the car and says the last two Vixen S1's had these uprated engines.
Can anyone confirm??

ps there were cars with this engine fited but whether they were factory built I wouldn't like to say.
Many years age I was looking for an engine for my tired Vixen and found a Fiat Dino Coupe in a breakers. I bought the engine and fitted it quite easily into my car. That engine started all the myths about TVR unreliability.
Lived with it for 4 months and replaced it with a crossflow
