Going by the picture file name - AVONCR6ZZonWatanabeR.jpg

Looks like they are Avon CR6ZZ on Watanabe R Type wheels

I'm guessing 245/60R15 ???

Sorry for the confusion guys. those aren't my wheels but they are an example of the tyres that will end up on the car. looks like I will try before I buy at Longstone tyres to finalise the best fit..The issue for me is that dads car runs different suspension to mine. I want the width but not the tyre bulge which comes as standard with Dunlop m sections.
The 245 / 60 looks to be a good size and correct diameter but the fit will depend upon the bulge from the rim edge and its proximity to the lower pivot rod using an 8 inch rim rear and 7 inch rim front.

The answer though lies with the CR6ZZ or TB15.

To be clear..The sizes I am fitting will not fit any std vixen. My arches have been widened inboard and outboard to mirror the Fia approved cars as was before the round arched conversions emulating the EH Paul griffith.

I was all kinds of excited. Masao Watanabe was one of my all-time favorite designers.

Neil. in the event that you do like the look of those wheels, Panasport do a similar Minilite copy that has a great reputation, in racing. They're a lightweight forging. The street version utilizes the same alloy, is more resistant to curb/pothole damage, is also a forging, but has thicker wall sections, and weighs more.

Best,
B.

Sorry to bring this up again, does anyone know the size and type of wheels and tyres on the previous page (black mini lite) do you think that they would be too wide for a 3000m? I'm guessing those are for a wide arch griff?

Is it an illusion or is the one lying down in the forefront narrower than the centre one on edge, which is definately narrower than the other one on edge with the label?

So at least three sizes in photo?

tricky to tell, but by counting the tread lines, the one lying down and one standing up at the front are both 6 treads wide, and the back one standing up is 7, looks like the back one lying down could be 7 aswell.

The angle does make them look different.

A 3000 M can take 245 tyres under the rear and 205' in front if you want them under the original bodywork. But you need to adjust the ET measure carefully and rework the seat belt bracket a bit. In the front is it quite limited how much ET you can run, as the trunnion is in the way.
In my setup do I run 9,5x16 rear rims and 8,5x16 front, with bmw steering knuckles to accomodate a highet ET on the front. Rear is modified to dish brakes. For the comming season will I add about 1" to the fender lips so I get the front's fully covered, and enable 265's on the rear with a 20mm spacer to get the rear's a bit out to make room for the wider tyres and to get the rear camber up form 0,5 deg to 2 deg.

But if you aim for 14 or 15" rim's be aware that you allso will have an ET issue on the rear as the lower mounting point of the shock absorber will interfer with the rim. From 16" and up is the inerference on the shock absorber it self, but it's quite easy to modify the upper mounting point the get the top a bit inward
