AFAIK, XKU 3L was never ran as a 1600M and IMHO those are 14 inch..it was for an eternity the development hack and as I understand it ran as the first development turbo AND first as the first 3000S.

The picture itself is in a sales leaflet, which is currently for sale on ebay.de (for those interested)

The picture might be deceptive, but it does say 15", and they do look bigger than 14" (which is not to say they ARE....)

I know what is says, LOL...BUT, XKU 3L was never a 1600 ,HOWEVER, '72 1600M's DID run with 15 inch finned alloy rims and 15 inch Wolfrace alloy rims of that period look nothing like those, they look like this...

I kept thinking about cutting up my T-slots, on a lathe, in order to use the centers in modular wheels. In the end, I knew I wanted 18" modern rubber, and knew the small centers would only look good in a 15" or 16" wheel.

Best,
B.

And since the photo of XKU3L shows it with twin tail pipes, I would suggest it was a 3000M rather than a 1600M. I assumed that leaflet was just referring to the standard 15" finned alloys. The alloys in the photo look wider than the standard 6 inch ones, but it may be the angle.

Oliver.

All in the spirit of the forum! I generally loiter where the Essex V6 was involved.

If it wasn't for the need of more than 2 seats I would have got an M instead (or a Marcos...). Although I'm not sure they look so good in orange.

Lime green however...... scratchchin

I've already done a deal on the Appliance Wheels, but have sent a PM if you want me to tart them about on the Scimitar Forum for you?

FYI - they will also fit Scimitars & Tr6, but also Datsun Z-cars and MGB although any buyer would need to check their clearance.

Hi Stu - Would love one, but can only provide a new home if it is free, sadly.

As ever - lack of cash prevents purchase of toys!
