A long one this, you bump into a guy in the bar, as you do.... and he drops this one into the conversation. The late Dennis Spicer a very well known vent act, died whilst driving a TVR on the 16th Nov 1964 (his Wiki says the 15th , but from this, it says (http://www.britishmusichallsociety.com/index/spring2011.pdf) he did 2 shows on the 16th prior to having an accident on the A1 ...I know no more than that, but the assembled readers might.

They look lovely andrew. regrettably I cannot afford specialist labour charges so have to go a little more slowly.
I will start on the dash next week, Have cut a couple of new blanks and repaired the old dash top
You will have to post pics of how you lay the carpets out…
Have you found that the inner sound matting makes a difference?
I like the period radio..Can that one take an iPod connection?

The radio yes it has a tape recorder input so that also takes an I pod connection regards specialist Labour charges I use specialists for what is important and assemble here the same as any good restoration workshops do regards carpets that would be interesting I do have the Vixen which is handy for some templates but always interesting to see other methods once cut they will go up to Lee at Trim Unique for final edging and finishing sound proofing I have no idea yet will report when finished

All the Dash was made in house and template then sent to Classical Dash cost £350 all the seats and dash and door cards where trimmed by Lee at trim Unique using Andrew Morsewood Quality Hides bought as end bins at NEC for £275 after I refurbished the seat frames made new formers and re webbed them here after that I could do no more. Radio £120 e bay all instruments fully refurbished and speedo converted to electric by Alan at the Guage Shop £400 old seats sold for £700 so all told its not about affording it Neil its about Planning and relationships with suppliers and planning the budget

As long as you don't need them wink I was lucky the seats that came out where fully re trimmed by the previous owner low back V6 Tuscan/Vixen seats with runners ready to just fit however for two reasons I wanted to change firstly they where not fitted to SE spec cars and fortunately the ones that where are the most comfy seats TVR fitted in that era especially when your on the rather large size the other seats my hips get wedged in so all told it worked well and the home they went to in Romanian appreciated and valued them for what they are.
I had calls from the UK asking would I take £500 etc when that's the cost of trimming them alone I think we all need to realise the true value of some of these rare parts.
