Thanks for the comment on my car and yes Matt (FurLined) on Flickr takes some great pictures. Here's one I took a few years ago just a shame it's not as good as Matts.
I've just noticed the car was featured in the 'Classic Plastic' article in Practical Classics back in 1990.
That's what really started my interest in TVRs. After an early failed attempt, I finally managed to get one last year. It only took me 23 years

The car in the monochrome shot (FGJ149J) is Gary Pritchard's Vixen turbo, as featured in Sprint in May 2010. It would be good to Gary and the car again this weekend.
Oliver.
I think it still is having the front re modeled after a little re modeling after it had an incident at a track day earlier in the year and not on track either was at Brooklands with me new years day in the Rain fast car though he is a rather clever boyOliver.

Thanks, I bought it of Richard Hudson-Evans in Jan. 1992 and the whole article is on my website together with the restoration http://nwarner.worldonline.co.uk/vixen.htmI've just noticed the car was featured in the 'Classic Plastic' article in Practical Classics back in 1990.

How many Tb of pictures do you have Rene ? Hats off tho, very impressive !
just checked, I have more then 24.000 TVR pictures on my pc (and growing of course) ;-)A
I spoke to a guy by mail in 2006, who is the owner of a lovely Griffith 200 with 350hp, it was for sale and I was Interested, but bought something else which I was also looking at.
Still have those pictures of that car etc, and a few weeks ago I tried to look things up and see if I could find his mail address again (lost a lot info with PC crash a few years ago) but still had some minor info.
I found it and also the car which seems still in his possession, at least seen some pictures of it in action at some sport event road tour/thing in 2013 I believe it was, so I thought, when the time is there (read sold my car and so have free space and money) I would contact him/car again for that lovely Griffith 200, price was not bad by then en the car looked (at that time) like 'new'
the rest of that info I keep for myself, I don't want to wake up other Griffith 200 buyers

maybe its even cheaper now, its older, lol ;-)
Why a 400 over a 200, I know, less twisty maybe?
In the early days, long time ago I also would go for the 400 because of maybe less twisty and a bit better perhaps and those lovely Cortina lights.
But, I really love the little scary? 200 by shape, but...with some modern roadholding/suspension/brakes etc and sorry the wire wheels I would keep upstairs, I would choose alu wheels and some wider tires, a bit more like some racers have (not race tires)

It's a liitle odd, and more than a little hypocritical, that the Revolutions bother me so much, on this car. That company came into existence in '67, and the car is only a little bit older, so it is entirely plausible, that they could be an "in period" mod. It's not the chronology, but the style. I associate the Revo's with late sixties, and early-mid seventies cars. Of course, the cars that made the look of those wheels famous, were the sports racers, carrying the Magnesium version. As for stance, offset, diameter, relationship to the arches, . . . I love it. How odd?!
