SRB-372K = Vixen 1972

Does anyone have any details on the car, where it is now, who owns it etc?

Many thanks for posting Rene. Keep up the good work!

Chris
It was for sale a short while ago for 14.900,-euros I see in that map.
My Dad bought this car in 1975 and I restored and added fuel injection to it it in the late 80s then sold it in 1997. Sure I 've got some pics and history. Would also be interested in where it is now.

It looked like a nice car seeing the pictures from around 2015, I don't have a picture of the engine though, if you have, feel free to share :-)

Tony Cerulli's Buick powered Griffith named "Disturbed" at Dover Drag Strip in Wingdale, New York around 1966/67.

Hi do you know any more about this car, was it a Griffith or an earlier Grantura which had been converted for drag racing. 1966 seem quite early to chop up a Griffith which at that time would only have been 2 years old (unless it was a rebuild of a crashed car).

Do you know if it is still in Tony Cerulli's barn?

Thanks

Rob

It is a Griffith...current status unknown. Word is that it went to his mechanic at some point in the past?

Al Kitts is another well known Griffith drag racer from back in the day...he raced for Willis Ford in Waterbury, Vermont U.S.A.

Great photos thanks - I think I've seen others of the Willis Ford Sponsored Griffith.

Just spotted this on an episode of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) - Money to Burn.

DVLA show the plate as SORN and last MOT 2008.

@GFV182D restoration

That was the car which James Agger had for sale (for quite a lot of money as I remember? ). Quite shocking to see the state of it once you have pulled it apart. Are you going to put a specific resto thread for the car? I would be very interested to see that. Sounds like you have big plans (Chevy Ls etc). I have a Vixen with a RV8 which I have converted to EFI (Emerald) with drive by wire & dizzy less ignition, I'm actually using LS1 injectors! I believe the LS engines use a fuel pressure of around 58psi as standard, a Bosch 044 or Walbro will cope with it anyway! I made a gravity fed surge tank & am using a generic Bosch K jetronic pump. Be good to have a separate thread so we could go into more detail.

@StewB_v6

There is a thread there:
http://www.tvrcarclub-france.net/forum/viewtopic.p...

I can copy the new posts here.
Yes this was quite a lot of money but it has a grantura V8 V5 so I have been able to register it legally has grantura V8 in france which is quite rare.
My french green card is perfect with no limitation of weight or engine displacement as long as it is a V8...

For now I'v received a mini innocenti sunroof which I'm going to shorten with a brand new custom made stainless steel chassis.
I'm still waiting for chassis/engine/gearbox from tvr classic, I hope to have it before winter to get the car ready for next summer.
