The engine has a slightly ported head and an uprated camshaft. I'm guessing about 120-130 hk. I used to run it with Dellorto carbs but the Su give a better look.
It sits in the standard engine mounts using simple "adapters". The gearbox is also Volvo, a M41 four speed unit with overdrive. I made a new crossmember/transmission mount to fit it but there are no changes to the chassis. The propshaft is also custom, Volvo front end and TVR rear end.
When I bought the car it had no silencer at all (like in the first pictures). I have made a dual exhaust with as much silencing volume as possible just to keep the noise down. The tailpipes are like the ones in the link below (top middle picture).

I agree, Hayes was really good to deal with but basically I was just tired driving around in Santa Hat and wearing sunglasses, it is also illegal to drive with a ski mask on in Sweden

AH Alans Baby before a few changes that must have been taken in Yorkshire before Alan sold her to Germany where she had the wheels changed and those fire hazard air filters changed. Then we made a few changes here as they say there is always something to do on our cars oh yes the steering wheel has changed as well or at least its now black which I prefer anyway less to polish
Thanks for posting

agreed, way to high, would look better if it was lower, specially at the back.
maybe they installed the wrong dampers/springs? to strong maybe.
Yes Probably maybe they installed the wrong dampers/springs? to strong maybe.
However when you look through the thread you see how fitting the correct size wheels and tyres make a big difference to how the cars look

A little more History came through about Robins 1800s you don't get history with many cars like this I really wish I had another Garage.A
This I very poor quality and Robin is trying to find someone that has a better Quality copy but this really needs adding to the TVRCC Archive I think you need to be on facebook to view.

That was truly awful, I can see why I have never heard of him. Sort of Ten Pole Tudor does the Eurovision Song Contest.https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1469615646650...

Pretty much as said, though it had the Essex in when John bought it which is why it has the odd bonnet hump.
This car had been advertised in the local Autotrader for some time before and all us experienced TVR owners ignored it because it was quite obviously going to be a badly modified Grantura. Then John looked at it, did the research and proved us wrong...
There is some info about the car in Roger Shackleton's book on the modern TVR Griffith.
Oliver.
Thanks Oliver its a really pretty car and was so nice to see it this year I really hope it stays the way it is as a V6 it makes a Rather practical car and its history is interesting to.This car had been advertised in the local Autotrader for some time before and all us experienced TVR owners ignored it because it was quite obviously going to be a badly modified Grantura.
