Hi guys I am trying to work out the best way to fit the vinyl roof on my car and after looking at may pictures of various cars I have a couple of options. The first is to just fit the whole of the roof with no stitching either side of the sunroof but have the rear lower part that fits between the rear window and chrome seperatley fitted so basically a 3 part roof. Second up is a 5 part roof where the stitching is either side of the sunroof. Mine was originally a painted on vinyl look roof opinions would be appreciated.
Cheers Chris.

An opinion........the 5 piece stiched makes the car look older (more early 70s)and the three piece younger (more late 70s) driving

If I wanted it to look late 70s then I would pass on the vinyl and have paint.

My own has stiched vinyl and with the British Racing Green paintwork probably looks more 60s.

Paint much easier to repair when "things go wrong".........smash

Cheers Guys
The car is a 74 so not to early so I guess it could have either the 3 or 5 piece roof. Some thinking to do smile

Decided on the 5 part vinyl roof I have the material will hopefully get that to the trimmers in the next couple of days along with the head lining and then have a go at fitting them both.
