Sorry for poor quality -what are you looking for -I can see if can identify certain items on the original.

Rob
I wasn't really looking for anything, just amused that both of us only had a photo of the right rear quarter. That's some line up of Pre80s TVR racers.

Oliver.

Must be something outside, because in the photo it appears to have a quarter light though in the photo from outside it certainly doesn't.

Cheers Richard should have looked at the other picture it seem as the numbers get later on the MAL cars that features start to get deleted.
I presume as the factory had phased out the model for the UK they did not want to make batches of certain things just for the export cars.

Okay.. Here's another and I'll scan my pics I have.

LuckyCarter did you see the car or is there a link to see pics of MAL006? I don't know who actually bought it or where it ended up. Per the person selling it the owner found out that it had an early bonnet on it because an early (probably LWB owner complained of over heating and they swapped the bonnet with the original for this car.) The story may be off, but I do know my bonnet is much different. I have also mentioned my/later Tuscans virtually had no problems with over heating. I'm sure the fan shroud had a large part to play in this and probably the dual heaters too.

Hi Bill,
I was one of the 10 or so Brits that were at Woodwork 2002, I actually spoke to you about this car there, I think you were going to see it over the w/end. I too have the for sale ad/flyer for it. I found the images I have posted on the web around that time or just after but cant remember where they were from specifically. As for the bonnet it looks like a pukka LWB bonnet to me as on the Ian m/c and James Meldrum cars, don't know if it was a swap, but everything on the car has the same age/patina so I assume its a period feature. As for the door arm rests they also look period to me but that's just my guess,
Cheers
Rich

Thanks for the answer Rich.
I left that night after WW to follow the seller and go look at the car. The basic part I understood was the owner knew the bonnet had been changed.. prior to her ownership or soon after? Maybe they happened to have matching colors or she had to wait to get it from paint?

Anyway, just went and looked at mine and it has the "armrests" too. (Amazing the details you don't see when you have no local ones to compare to.)

I'm guessing that you all have seen this? Although I don't see Paul Guinns name on there? I found it while surfing last night.

To add to weird histories, my MAL car has these "vents" added behind the front wheels. I talked to the previous owner that did them. IIRC it was the same guy who changed the color to black. He said he hoped it would get more cool air in the cabin. He said it didn't work for crap.. Still trying to find some old pics of my car taken when it was a few years old and in Yellow.. (I suspect they are out there on the internet somewhere too.)

Hi Bill,
Looks like the early MAL V8's have a nice rare TVR feature in the arm rests. Are they any good, as in do they work and keep your arm comfortable or do they just get in the way ? if the latter perhaps that's why they are only on a few cars!
Rich.

Sterling Denton was a previous owner. He sent me the pics via email way back when I talked to him soon after purchasing the vehicle... funny thing is I talked to him a year or so later and he had no idea why he put the Copyright on the pics and was "sorry about that".. Probably contacted him as I was going to post the pics somewhere..

I sure want to make the car yellow again someday.. in black I call it the "EZ-Bake oven" with that large window pre-heating everything inside.

Thanks for the chart Bill, fascinating stuff. It confirms MAL013 as being the Pottinger/Cliffe car which is now for sale in Australia. Which is the ex Al Way car with the Boss 302?

By the way, can you scan the 2nd page of that article? I'm not sure if I have seen it..
