That reminds me... someone once said that the way to tell the Hurricane and Spitfire apart is that one you want to fight, the other one you want to (I'll paraphrase) make love to.

You do have a map in the car... don't you?

lol, not heard that but it makes sense; either of those lovely war birds would be a bit daunting to me - so, i'd go for a tiger moth - lots of flirty fun, real character and very bouncy bouncy (when in the ground effect zone, that is!).

re: car/maps - i don't fare much better in cars, with or without a map, i'm afraid to say! i suppose i am the ideal gps/satnav customer but it's rather fun discovering "new" places by mistake (well, more as a result of navigational incompetence). at least it's safer getting lost in the car!

ps, my father still flies (chipmunks, mainly) and his navigation skills aren't much better than mine. yikes. but as he only does glider tugging, he's pretty safe, lol.

:-O

Thanks for that! I'd seen the website, but hadn't realised it was a PH member. Will contact him later in the week, when I've some more time... Deadline to meet soon.

I'm afraid to report that I won't be buying a TVR this year, unless I suddenly come into money. I did the calc's and realised that I couldn't afford to buy something drivable, or even build something drivable.

However, I have managed to find a Midget in great condition well within budget... so will be using that for the next year and saving up so I can use it in part-exchange for the TVR next year.

Thanks for all your help. And let me know if you've a 3000M going spare......
