I use a simple diode/relay cut-out circuit that was kindly supplied to me by Adrian.
That could be the same/similar to system used on the later S Series cars? I know there's a diode in there doing "something" on mine!

Basically you run the fuel pump on a relay, which is powered by the alternator charging light (and either the starter motor (hence the diode) or a prime button). So when the alternator stops running, the fuel pump stops too.

Sometimes the fuel pump will be running when you switch the ign on, usually and off and then on again sorts it out, something to do with the current draw of the charge light bulb and the relay and the electricity taking the easiest route.

We've got an inertia switch to go in the Taimar too, just got to get around to fitting it.
