False economy in my opinion. Someone on here had a wedge wrapped and if my memory serves me right, he had peeling problems after a while. Probably due to the car being fiberglass. My sprayer in north London can spray a convetable Wedge for around a grand. They have fibreglass experience and have done a lot of work for me in the past with excellent results. They sprayed the front end of my present Wedge and I’m more than happy and matched the Red colour to perfection. There must be other sprayers too that can do an excellent job for a good price, if you know where to look.

I was contemplating this...it has come a long way in a few years with finishes etc...you can buy the kit for the less than the price of a blow over...the guy that runs this place has a couple of cars that he tests in jet washes and cheap covers...and left outside uncovered...P4P it has my vote...smile

Talk to the owner Alan. He wraps his Sag all the time and has been developing liquid rubber wraps of various colours.

He can probably help.

For a moment then I thought you said £2200

At that price its hard to see why you would do it. I guess its halfway between a wrap and a respray but it is a lot of money.

Plasti-dip over wrapping any day...have you checked out how much it will cost...its under 1K.....and lasts 5 + years...Whats not to like?

I know people who have spent a fortune on resprays..All the areas that are known to crack were prepped but guess what...Yep they still came back...Personally id rather spend the money on the engine etc.....

You can actually repair stress cracks but it's what you do after. I had my car painted 2 years ago the cracks re-appeared so I drove my car last year to see if any more would appear. Thankfully no more cracks have appeared so this year they existing cracks will get sorted and touched in either by me or a decent paint shop.

Plasti dip is a good option if you want a decent finish for a fraction of the cost of a re-spray IMO.
