Hi
I am currently in the throes of bringing a 1961 TVR Grantura MK2a back to life and hoping to restore it to original specification. To this aim I am trying to reinstate the original factory supplied heater.
Been looking for over a year now for a Smiths blower motor FHB3392 supplied as an aftermarket fitment on Grantura combined with heater matrix with FHF2301. I have managed to acquire a heater matrix but still need the blower motor. Just thought I would post it on here to see if anyone has one tucked away in a shed somewhere. Don’t mind if it’s as rusty as a boat Anker so long as it’s in one piece. Fingers crossed.

Might be worth giving Clayton Classics a call

Care point - if anyone has a component 50 years old from rare classic please don't bin it - put it on e-bay or offer it to the respective owners club - very sad to here this has been scrapped

If casing is just in need of cleaning and re-painting but motor has burnt out why not get a price to have it rewound

Or get it painted and fit one of the brushless modern motors inside (no one will see it).

Perhaps you could make one by using something like this at each end of a cylinder

It seems that the motor itself is very similar to most of the electric motors used in BLMC heaters, or even as windscreen wiper motor on classic Minis.

They are very simple to repair.

Hi that's fantastic news - it's funny how things come to the surface from time to time.
I have managed to get a heater matrix of a well known internet selling site!!! . I did not managed to get a blower motor so I have had a blower body manufactured by a local exhaust fabricator and fitted a 12v boat bilge extracter fan.
I am sure their will be other Grantura builders / renovators who are on the look out for the blower and heater matrix.
What ever happens don't scrap them.

Hi not use to piston heads but I don't think I can send you messages etc. However I think you can send me a message so I can contact you about details.
I have contacted fellow Grantura renovaters and their is some interest.
Hope this is ok

I also have this - looks the same as Andrews and came with a load of TVR parts of varying ages. The motor works well:

...so what are they from??
