Rear hub assembly 1978 TVR Taimar

Before I m going to take action on my rear hub, I have a couple of questions:

1. How can you determine for sure that there is play in the rear hub assembly (vs other possibilities) of the Taimar?
2. Is the rear hub the same as the TR6 one?
3. What do most people fit? New uprated design no exch required, or a reconditioned one?

This is advertised as a TR4A-TR6 uprated assembly. Also fits the Taimar/3000M?

They will give good advice and produce a great product. Little word of caution, CVs aren’t appropriate in some circumstances.
