indeed, very underrated cars those V6 Tuscan, or at least they were at certain times, I was always wondering, just 101 and then (some years ago) very reasonable prices for how rare they are.

found another, seems to be a LHD Tuscan V6

or is this something else? its in French... looks in a good state, although not a fan of the all red interior, price is also good at 36k euro and if a LHD is original? can't be many of that... its probably worth to someone, sadly have no extra space here and ow in French so the hassle and distance also not good for my head :-)

It is not a Tuscan V6. It’s a late “hybrid” car, (either a Vixen S4, 2500 or 1300) with an engine swap.

Running on an 'M' chassis so as Monkeythree says probably a Vixen S4 with an engine swap. Not sure but diff also looks like it may be Triumph.

The interior is OK imho. Nice patina.

Guess it's an older restoration - probably done in the 80's or 90's. Can't see why you'd drop an Essex in there with so many other options available post 90's.

Tidy looking car though if you want a left hooker.

ah, then I can understand the price better, if it was a original tuscan V6 it was good.

but what I also was wondering, the front, 2 slots under the radiator gril hole, looks different, mostly those Vixen/Tuscan's have just 1 slot under the radiator gril hole? or did I forgot something..., looks ok though.

I don't think it's an engine swap because here in France it would not be legal.
If you change things like that it has to pass "le mines" homologation.

On these hybrid cars with the M chassis, the front of the chassis is obviously visible below the front bodywork and can look quite ugly. TVR attempted to fix this by adding a chin spoiler. If you look at your photos of a Vixen S4 you will most likely see it. In this case I think someone has decided to try to improve the factory solution by making a modification to the bonnet to hide the chassis. Like you say, it looks OK.

I believe this car was an original Tuscan V6. It was very badly damaged, and for some reason, rebuilt on an M chassis.
There are photos in the internet to support this, detailing the repair / restoration. The car was / is owned by a woman.

ah, now you mention it, it makes sense, a nice way to cover the frame and torsion bar and make it more smooth, well done who came with that.

here a s4 were you indeed see the frame and bar and so on.

in that case, a frontspoiler could also help to hide or protect the frame against stones and or give it a bit downforce, like this>

That spoiler looks excellent. It would detract from the period look particulalry when there is no number plate there, but otherwise a great addition.

Yes that is the case, a Tuscan chassis number exists on the car.

UPDATE:

Still looking for 33 missing cars - some that have known details from the factory records but have disappeared and some have a known chassis number only but no other evidence of existence. Some are 'last MOT 2001' and nothing since.

So if anyone knows of a Tuscan V6 car in someones shed, awaiting a rebuild, or at the back of a garden becoming part of the undergrowth please[ let me know either on here or by PM.

Many thanks

Many thanks to those that have very helpfully replied so far - great stuff!

Also if you’ve owned a Tuscan V6 in the distant past I would like to hear from you please with at least the reg no - there are still some unaccounted for that may still be out there somewhere !

Alas when my daughter out grew the child seat, it was sold - about 22 years ago. I guess I owned it for 4 years or so having bought it from David Gerald's.

I can't tell you much about it - no record of the chassis number.

When I bought it, I was told it was on the 1970 London motor show stand, which I never was able to verify.

The orange was a period Ford paint.

If I were to think about how little I sold it for, I might start to cry...

Lovely looking car, it was chassis 1759-6 and the first car with S2 side vents.

Where did you find that? It must be my photo as I fitted and removed the child seat before sale.

Is the cars still on the road?

Clearly I regret selling it... although it was relatively troublesome. I did an engine rebuild and then another due to not spotting a oval con-rod. Rebuild of the diff. and all the suspension bushes - after an argument with a leading TVR garage who said they would do it for 8 hours labour and the called saying they had spent 12 hours on it and were a third the way through . curse I paid the 8 hours and collected it on a trailer. I shan't name them ,as 20 years is too long to hold a grudge!

You must have posted it somewhere in the distant past!
